If I might add to this, It's not just the scenery that makes Sydney photogenic. It is also the sunlight. There is something different about the light there that makes colors more "colorful" and contrasts more "contrasty". It also burns your skin quicker than over here north of the equator. The sunblock products we regularly use are not very effective there. Australians make some very good sunblock lotions which are really thick and white which make you look like a ghost on the beach, but protect your skin really well.
