Just acquired recently a Neat NP-6814P with original Neat plinth and GA 12 stereo/mono tonearm. Is this worth refurbishing?

Worth a try! What's the motor voltage?

Good thing with Neat is that it has a capstan/pulley for 60Hz(see pic below) so no need fabricating for a new one or sanding the existing 50Hz pulley. The only problem is you will need to disassemble almost everything (which i successfully did) to get the proper angle to unscrew and switch both pulley. Currently i get around 34 to 35 rpm thru manual counting so i assume its not accurate. Reading the manual for Neat P68 revealed that i still need to replace the 2 resistors to get the proper speed(i dont know if this applies as well to this model). Assuming it needs to be replaced does anybody here knows what resistor value do i need to replace the current 6 and 2.5 KnK(sorry dont know how to read values im just typing what i see. The "n" there looks like an inverted "u" just dont know the keyboard shortcut for that character/letter.

Great, looks like you are in luck with the motor!

This thing? - Ω Symbol for ohms.
So the resistors do not have colour bands? I do not know when colour codes were established, but some of those old resistors might just be diodes or capacitors. I would get someone like Rene to look it over.

If you are anywhere near Alabang you could use my tacho to check speed (it probably needs batteries)
