in response to some querries:

the Wiredstate Preamp is NOT the Foreplay preamp.

Foreplay is a proprietary and registered product by Bottlehead.com.

the Wiredstate Preamp is exclusively designed, built and sold by the DIY-hard team at Wiredstate.

it will have the same chassis and tube layout as this preamp (built by mozilla) except the facia....still debating if it's brass or aluminum for the faceplate and knobs... :D

and also whether the switches should be in front or at the back (shortest possible distance) for wires...

Please note, this chassis will NOT be sold separately. This is being custom-made by Wiredstate.

My original intent was to have the power switch at the back and just one line input to have the shortest paths & not have power & signal cross each other. My friend (who asked me to build this for him) requested that the power switch be located up front so he wouldn't have to reach under the rack shelf evertime he turns it on.

He also requested the add'l line 2 so I wired the power circuit on the left and the signal on the right to isolate them as much as possible.

what tubes will this amp be using...12au7, 6dj8, 12ax7, 6sn7....????

how many tubes per channel?

brand of volume potentiometer?

can you describe in general the circuit configuration which makes it a SOTA sounding pre-amp.

DC, regulated PS, chokes, dual mono?

Introductory price of $150 only (30-45 days delivery, assembled units only)

1. v_d
2. non-pinoydiophile #1(c/o v_d)
3. non-pinoydiophile #2 (c/o v_d)
4. MS
5. toobsnewbie
6. docmike
7. pinoydiophile#1 (c/o v_d)
8. Ganjaman
9.
10.

Please advise on settlement date. Thanks. Personally, I think a brushed aluminum front plate would look great with black palstic molded knobs. Switches at the back will also lend to the sleekness of an unobstructed front.

2 cents from a Noob.

Likewise, please advise on payment date, if we will make a downpayment and then another one once the preamp is finished of if payment is in full. I would prefer an aluminum faceplate, switch at the back and single input as well. thanks!

we'd like to inform you that this is not a mega-gain preamp. understood?

the preamp has a voltage gain of approximately 12, which means .5V input will become 6V output. clear as clearasil?

oki dok. thanks.
