Andre Berto vs Victor Ortiz

Postby pinoy_usa8 » Wed Apr 13, 2011 8:07 am

Nice to watch ito.

Because Berto's name surfaced last year to be one of Pacquiao's future opponent.
If he's fighting Ortiz, then he dont belong to the long wishlist of Pacquiao.

He maybe fast n quick but his gloves are weightless, not enough for Manny's granite chin.

Be the judge if he's a livewire or worthy future opponent for Manny

Ortiz' greatest hits

They're been asking who's next for Pacquiao after Mosley? Top Rank then signed-up Kermit Cintron last 2 weeks ago hoping Bob Arum can
pair this one to Pacquiao. Why not Timothy Bradley?

How about this young Vicious Ortiz? he's fast and w/ a loaded fist.

Black slick american fighter

Postby pinoy_usa8 » Sun May 22, 2011 1:42 pm

At age 46, lots of movements and that just amazed me.
where can we see a boxer, in the middle of a fight doing a "push-ups" on the ring?

well, i do believed now, he's the most "slick" black american" boxer i've ever known in the sport of boxing.

Will the Briton land the Haymaker, as he did to giant Valuev?
Will he capture the 4 belts owned by Vlady.

This is the biggest and the highest profile fight in the heavyweight division after the Vitali- Lewis fight a decade ago.

It was dead in the heavyweight division after the Tyson-Lewis fight. If Haye will win, this division will be an exciting once again.

Hoping to see a 3 knockdown on this fight betw Wlady n David. Klitz got a glass chin but can easily recover right into the fight, but if David can get inside the rapid jabs of Kiltz, we will see an early kissing to the canvas.

Cotto vs Margarito 2: December 4 in Manila

Postby pinoy_usa8 » Fri Nov 25, 2011 7:52 pm

A very good fight because both fighters will have to prove something.

For Cotto, its very personal. Will he get his sweet revenge?

For Margarito, he will prove that even without the cement in his knuckles, still he can KO the puerto rican.

I watched the replay of their 1st fight last night, Cotto started to run in the 10th round,..perhaps he can no longer take the pain when the Plaster of Paris became a hardened cement inside Margarito's gloves. he gassed out w/ a broken lips & nose.

Tomorrow, I hope Cotto will get his sweet revenge.

Dont miss, because this is the real war that we are about to witness.

When the bell rings on the 1st round, expect a toe-to-toe, matira ang matibay!

If not a TKO, a UD for Cotto.

It was in the Mosley fight that the hardened plaster was discovered. It was never proven that Margarito used the same in his fight against Cotto. Cotto thinks he did though, hence, Margarito won the fight..
I think in the second fight, Cotto will move more laterally and careful not to be cornered against the ropes.. Margarito is a pressure fighter with heavy-handed punches though slower. These punches took a lot out of Cotto especially when he was caught against the ropes. If Cotto does the Pacquiao style when he fought Margarito, there's a good chance of him winning..As proven in their last fight, Margarito takes Cotto's punches well than Cotto takes Margarito's.. Cotto was way ahead in points, but when Margarito had him on the ropes, he got whacked on the exchanges..
There's a bad blood between the two. Cotto accuses Margarito of cheating. Margarito sees Cotto as a "cry baby" and just looking for excuse to justify his loss in their first engagement. This will be a very exciting fight.. I predict Cotto wins...

bai, Margarito cheated eversince, he used that Plastered Cement, if he's not sure he can beat that opponent. at Cotto's fight, yes he did used that but he will die-denying those. If Richardson did not catched those cemented tape, Marga could knock out Mosley instead.

Way back, some boxer put a powder cement in-between, when they taped their hands. when their hands starts to sweat after the middle rounds, thats how the opponent can feel the "bagtik & bus-ok nga komo".

Cotto should aim his target on Marga's damage eye

If the doctor did not stop the fight it would had been a shut out UD.

He copied the blueprint of Pacquiao, stay away from the ropes, create a space, stick to the game plan, avoid a longer toe to toe & make a target practice on the right damage eye.

If Cotto stick to his game plan (remember the 1st & 2nd round, jab & box) on Pacquiao, he should had gotten Pacquiao by points.

Now, after everybody says Pacquiao was exposed by Marquez,..& after the successful game plan & boxing clinic to Margarito,..I think Cotto will ask a rematch to Pacquiao.
