Clean and Simple Too...

Here's another pair for Boyet Almazan restored back to original silver. Main diecast frames and tonearm sections repainted as well as the rubber base. All LEDs (strobe, 33/45, pop-up lamp, pitch indicator) are replaced with super bright white. Pitch controls calibrated, tonearms re-built and calibrated with lubricated pivot bearing. Motor spindles lubricated, cleaned start/staop switch assembly and PCB boards. Applied new aluminum pitch decal (silver), repainted and re-faced the platter (3-step). RCA cables and connectors replaced with internal grounding. This pair has the new type super bright LED for the pop up. Even brighter than the previous ones. For better track searching in dark environments.

Clean and Simple 3

Both of the units' main diecast frame and tonearm sections are finished in 1200 MK2 original silver shade. Tonearm bridges have been replaced on both units because the pivot screws have corroded badly and stuck. So the bridges had to be cut with dremmel just to take out the arms. Strobe, 33/45 and pitch indicator LEDs were replaced with super bright white as well as converted Pop-up lamps. RCA cables and connectors replaced with internal grounding and tonearms rebuilt and calibrated to factory setting. The rubber base, tonearm mount plate were also repainted to flat black. Pitch controls calibrated and applied with new aluminum pitch decal ornaments. Platter refaced (3-step) and repainted, Pitch control knobs repainted because the original color have faded already. Switch assembly (Switch, start/stop, 33/45 buttons) and PCBs cleaned. Pivot bearings and motor spindle lubricated.

Walter Zamora's Fire Red 1200s

This is actually the first pair of 1200s that I painted in fire red which is very close to Ferrari's signature color. Usual Works1200 finished with automotive polyurethane paint on the main diecast frame, tonearms sections and platter. All LEDs replaced with new red ones except for the converted pop-up lamps which were fitted with super bright white. New silver aluminum pitch decals applied, tonearms calibrated as well as pitch controls. RCA cables and connectors replaced. Motor spindle lubricated and tonearm pivot bearing as well.

A Cat's Chromed 1200s

A brief story:

When they arrived, these decks were awful. First thing I noticed was the smell. They stunk. Then I figured after a closer inspection. They've been a home to a cat. Because both decks had cat fur all over. As I took off the platters and opened them up, there were spoiled cat piss and crap inside.

So here's what's been done to these 1200s:

Scraped the main frames and were chrome plated. One tonearm assembly had been replaced because all pivot screws, tonearm height adjuster and mount were severely stuck due to corrosion (from the dried cat piss). Switch (start/stop, 33/45) assembly (including PCB, tack switches and switch knob) was also replaced on one unit as well as the pitch control which was corroded and beyond calibration. Platters were scraped, re-faced, repainted and re-faced again. One pop-up lamp assembly was also replaced. Since both pop-up lamps were also corroded, the covers were refaced and repainted to flat black including the pop-up lamp guides. Tonearm sections were repainted to glossy metallic black. Rubber base repainted to flat black. New RCA cables and connectors were installed with internal ground. One tonearm clip replaced. All LEDs were also replaced. Super bright blue on the strobe, yellow on the 33/45 and pitch indicators, and super bright white on the converted pop-up lamps. Applied new silver aluminum pitch decals. Tonearms calibrated and lubricated pivot bearings as well as motor spindle, Pitch controls calibrated. These decks also came with a different set of power supplies with very low ampere. Both units were installed with original power supplies. Lastly these decks also didn't have resin isolation. So both were installed.

See before and after pictures below.
