This is the Concept prototype built about 3 years ago.
Came in for tuning but we upgraded it to include the most recent modifications done in the recent builds. Will do play test this weekend.

Hope you have a good analog weekend ahead

Noly, ever thought about making a mould and casting a plinth out of resin?
I am just thinking of the endless possibilities of solid or mixed colours, swirls, rainbows etc. that could be created.

Inspiration...

Thanks for your thoughts Paul. Actually I have lots of experience in polymers as I head a resin R&D team for some time before I switch to some thing more trivial hehe. for the sake of turntable science, I'll put it on the drawing board after this build :)

although, the warmth of the wood plinth seems to me hard to tops :)

I agree with you on wood Noly, but that could be due to our mature wisdom!
I just wonder if a more "modern" plinth would encourage younger people to take the plunge into vinyl?

Only with superb skills and proper knowledge on the technology and tool usage will make this a possibility. Idol talaga sina sir noly and sir rene when it comes to customizing and DIYing analog stuffs. As a DIYer also, I consider my experiences still far behind these guys'. I always get challenged that everytime I see masterpieces similar to this, I always tell myself that I can do it also, someday. anyway, galing sir.
