Platinum Speaker Terminal Cap

The Speaker Terminal Cap is the proprietary design of Telos Audio Design, the main purpose
of the design is to curb the skin effects on the binding posts.

The currently available binding posts are designed in such a way to cater for the usage of spades and banana plugs. And because of the hollowed core design, the audio signal, instead of transmitting through the core in a direct manner, would stray across the increased surface area.

This would create turbulence in conductivity.

With the proprietary Speaker Terminal Cap from Telos Audio Design, we are able to reduce the skin effects on most of the binding posts available in the market. Thus, greatly reducing signal lost. With the Speaker Terminal Cap, the first thing you notice would be the increased focus and improved details due to better signal transmission.

1 Box contains 4 pieces P5,300 shipped to Manila.

Took Ferdie's advice and got a couple of these for my amp. They replaced the stock plastic covers that my amp came with. The telos plugs not only look better than my plastic RCA covers, they have the added feature of tweaking my amp. There was a noticeable improvement in the soundstage in terms of added depth. Thanks again Ferdie :)

Tried on a set of 10 RCA and a pair of XLR platinum plugs on my amp and CDP, and yeah, the effect is very noticeable. Sounds like I toggled on an "expand" switch - so added soundstage width is what I got. Shuffling the things about again changes the sound. If you like to sort of tune your system using different audio cables, this may be the more economical way to achieve the same effect.

Many thanks Desmo and Magnus-- i myself have been amazed by the results these little tweaks can do. For the amount of investment involved, they are quite an improvement in sonic qualities. Best part, they are very very audible.
Thanks again.

It does isolate EMI and RFI noise. Blacker background was first noticed and the speakers are dead quite during silent passages.

HIghly recommended!

Thanks Ferdie for brining in this tweaks and for the quick and trouble free service.

http://singaporehifi.blogspot.com/2010/ ... -caps.html

Both caps have a not so subtle effect. Putting on just a single pair of caps on an unused input lifted the haze that made the system sound homogeneous and blurred. Vocals in particular focussed tightly and instruments became more distinct and in sharper contrast to the background.

The platinum caps were the most dramatic of the two. Vocals actually became slightly more distant but with increased focus and texture. Micro-detail was excellent and the extension of high frequencies, especially hi-hats was particularly impressive. I noticed that the platinum caps tended to accentuate the sense of acoustic space in the recording.

The gold caps in comparison presented vocals in a more forward manner, but with a touch of warmth and smoothness. High frequencies also were more extended but to a lesser degree compared to the platinum caps. Bass notes gained both substance and extension, something which the platinum caps did not really do. Micro-detail was not as good as the platinum caps though.
