I got a chance to listen to Lito's spanking new VM220's yesterday. I must say that these amps offer effortless sound with a wide soundstage. Detail & nuances were there without the presentation sounding up front. There was power & scale when needed.

Jacintha & Laura Fygi were cast in place in a believable presence & soundstage. Their vocals were accompanied by instruments that were portrayed in a way that revealed nuances in their harmonics which gave rise to a feeling of real instrunments being there.

Lito is a great host. Welcome to WS.

Lito,

Welcome again and thanks for the hospitality last night. Missed Grant but same comments on the new mono beasts from ARC, paired with LS25 mk2 and the MF xray 3, driving the legendary Quad ESL 63s! Huge soundstage with vocals that were tough to beat. What a combo!

Looking forward in seeing you post all your gems here Lito.

Cheers

Marty, Yes those Quad 63's are something else. I'm still thinking about how to stash them in my room........ :D

Once you get the sweetspot right, those speakers really sing.

I gather that a very sensibly priced speaker now creating waves in the US will be used by sensible at the show. Three weeks should be worth the wait!

Senor Sensible-

Thank you for inviting me over to hear the new ARC VM220 monoblocks. In a word: SUPER! What a combination: LS25/PH5/VM 220s. Too bad your turntable brokedown before I got there. It was a listening experience I'll never forget!

jerryalz,

I believe I heard that 'sensibly priced' speaker today at Lito's house. I was not aware
of this latest model and it sounded real dynamic, open, and smooth sounding. Of course,
mated with top of the line models of ARC helps. :)

SOS: Need to change cart for my P-mount Technics SL-q20

Postby WireTrain » Mon Feb 07, 2005 8:45 am

Sir Lito,

Gudam po sir, I need your help badly. I have these Techncs Sl-q20 P-mount cart (P24 is the model of the cart), my problem is i cannot replace it with a shure stylus. Even the M92E do not fit on it. Can I replace its cart? So as to be able to use a shure cart? I went and brought my TT to your Audiophile branch in MCS, but still no luck. Can I bring it in your Paco branch and see it personally to what and how can you fix it?

Since I do have a 2 pcs of 447 and 55E stylus, sayang naman if I can't use these sa technics, sayang, napakalinis pa naman nitong technics ko. My Pioneer PL-560 is the one using my 447.

Thank you po sir and hope to hear from you soon!
