Fan on ...music shuts down ???

Postby qguy » Tue Feb 14, 2012 9:47 pm

setup

Netbook running on batteries to USB power DAC to tube amplifier.
tube amp plugged into AVR
subwoofer and fan plugged into extension which is plugged into same AVR

When i turn on the fan on occasions music stops, i have to restart itunes to fix it. Any ideas whats going on, i reckon theres "surge" of electricity somewhere in my systems, but my netbook runs on batteries. Is it possible that theres a surge of electricity from the amp going to the dac via the RCA ?

Next time that happens, don't restart iTunes. Rather, wait the same amount of time allowing power draw from avr to stabilize. It coulb be starving your amp of power.
