TASLENCO: some projects done lately-1st qtr 2016

Postby TheAnalogSource » Tue Nov 01, 2011 4:27 pm

At THE ANALOG SOURCE, we pride ourselves with every LENCO we rebuild.

This is a B52 model with a lighter steel platter (lighter is a mismomer though as it weighs about 2kg. however that of the L-series is much much heavier).
It came in with a damage idler wheel causing rumbling and wows. The arm's plating have already stripped off but what worries us more is the unaligned pivot as shown in one of the pictures. The original plinth is also in very bad shape.
The owner has one specific request and that to keep the cost of restoration to a minimum so we can only commit on the performance.

Idler wheel remanufactured. Motor and spindle overhauled. Tonearm aligned. All of these makes this table run like new. We can only do so much with the cosmetics to keep down cost but we believe it is now very decent to display and post pictures online. :D

Total cost is less than a grand. We hope that this will encourage people to look for the best turntable of all times sitting around somewhere. Hope to see you soon and lets give your LENCO a new lease of life.

NOW PLAYING...LENCO B52 MK2

Congrats doc Noly. You remind me of Rick dun sa show na"king of restoration" sa history channel. Nicely done. Im eyeing a lenco l75 for sale at 83 euros. Yun lang sa sweden pa mangagaling. . Paktay sa freight and it needs to be restored pa although the motor and idler wheel is still working. Lalo ako naglalaway. . .hay nako!. . . :envy:

hi noly! owner is a good friend of mine and into this hobby longer than most of us. not a self declare audiophile like most will brag but a genuine music lover and a good bassist..... he is one of the reasons why i got into analog. my pioneer pl-41 came from him.

congratulations on the restoration, hope all is well when we finally get to listen to it. owner doesn't mind extra freebies daw (hahaha), extra mile is well appreciated. pa sulsol na lang ng affordable good cart for him. do your magic!
