Re: Bel Canto Dac 1.5 & Dac 2.5 availability

Bel Canto Dac 1.5 and 2.5 now available:

http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/belcanto3/1.html

The DAC1.5 converts your digital media into music while giving you full control of your system. It provides the most direct connection from your music to your amplifier. Low jitter, low noise and power isolation delivers the startling dynamics in your music.

The Bel Canto Dual-Differential DAC1.5 Control Center features an outstanding 122dB dynamic range and our proprietary low noise digital to analog convertor core. Including five 24/192 digital inputs and one 24/96 USB input, the DAC1.5 integrates and controls all of your digital audio sources. The front panel features a single multifunction control knob that selects inputs and controls volume level for both the main outs and ¼” front-panel headphone jack. The headphone jack is driven by a dedicated DAC/Amplifier circuit that optimizes the output and eliminates any compromises in the main signal path. The DAC1.5 provides remarkable performance, flexibility and control with a simple user interface, easy to read display, full remote control and off-chassis power supply.

The foundation of the DAC1.5 is our jitter-eliminating Master Reference Ultra-Clock circuitry that insures that jitter from any source is reduced below the audible threshold. The 24-bit digital volume control is completely transparent and accurate throughout the volume range. This precision continues with custom 0.1% audio grade resistors, class-A output circuitry and low noise power supply components. The heavy-gauge all-steel chassis design prevents mechanical resonance from compromising the audio signal quality.

Green, low-heat, efficient isolated power supplies and a finely-tuned analog output stage make possible Bel Canto’s eco-friendly compact designs; Bel Canto music products are fine instruments that are musically satisfying, discrete and sleek enough to fit any room.

Connect your laptop (PC/MAC) via a superior 24/96 bit usb input,(standard usb covert at a much lower 16 bits) a digital signal from your dvd, or blueray or Free sat settop box and a cd player or Wadia iPod dock and a Sonos multi-room system.

Price for Bel Canto Dac 1.5 P65,000.00
Bel Canto Dac 2.5 P91,500.00

Thanks for looking.

the USB of the Bel canto dac 1.5 is at 24/96 which is better than some USB dac 16/44 or lower bit).
end result is a very good sound with Bel canto's USb input which am using most of the time.

Ferds, I burned in the Unifield 1 and the BC 300i at the same time. 8 days non-stop at high SPL no AC no electric fan even. The amp didn't even break a sweat. Galing :) :) :)

Sandy,

You can use an ordinary USB cable but if you use a good one like the Wireworld, there is a discernible difference in sound quality you can really hear.
Any USB cable can activate the 24/96 capability granting your file is 24/96. Its hard to go wrong w/ the Bel Canto dacs, you can ask DESMO or JackD201 as they have the Dac 1.5s.
