Tuesday Club presents
“Tubes 101”
January 31, 2007, Wednesday, 8:00 pm
Reedley International School
JOSOL Building, E. Rodriguez Jr. Avenue, Libis, Quezon City
For the Tues Club’s first offering, we are inviting you to Tubes 101.
As the topic implies, this session is geared primarily for those (like me) who wonder why those glowing bubbles deliver damn good sound but can’t tell the difference between a tube filament and a toilet faucet.
Our guest resource speaker will be Mr. JV Lauguico.
A graduate of Mapua in Electrical Engineering, JV later practiced teaching at U.E., College of Enginnering, Elect. Department for 12 years. Handled, DC Circuit, AC
Circuits. In 1990, he set-up and equipped Delco Audio Center, at Makati Cinema Square. JV attended the CES show in 1991 in Las Vegas at the invitation of Mr. Dennis Had of Cary Audio Design and eventually signed a contract Cary Audio, Inc. for the exclusive Distribution of Cary Audio Tube Products in the Philippines.
Due to space constraints, we are allotting 15 slots for WS on a “first sign-in first served” basis.
In the tradition of past Tue Club offerings, there are NO fees required. Your interest and enthusiasm is enough for us.
Even refreshments are free!
Icing on the cake:
JV will also bring his tube tester and offer free tube testing to the first 10 atendees or until time allows. This will be a comprehensive tube test and since it takes about 10 min per tube to test, we can only allow selected participants to bring 2 tubes each.
We will also have a mini record sale before and after JV’s talk. I myself have not seen the stash but according to Gerry and Cesar, they’re all yummies – 6 eyes, verves, etc…
Free tube testing and record sale is only open for registered participants of Tube 101.
One other thing, pls do not come before 7pm as not to disrupt the school’s operation.
