I heard someone describe an amp as "humihinga".
I guess he meant dynamic headroom and lack of compression.

I have decided to adopt this term, "parang Bosch."

So ang pinakamagandang tunog pala ng speakers ay tunog

POWER TOOLS!

Ok tunog ng speakers mo brod ah!

Parang power tools! :)

'Malutong' I guess means 'nasa ibabaw lang' yung Bass, d sya dumidiin. Example dyan ay 'tunog ice bucket' na bass. Basta... hirap explain... nasa tunog yun...

Eto, dagdag:
'Bumabayo' - self expalanatory
'Tunog plastik ang kalansing' - just like those hi drivers/tweeters installed in jeepneys. sobrang treble na tunog plastic kasi malamang nagreresonate yung tunog ng driver sa plastic casing.
'Lubog' - masyadong ma bass at makalansing to the point na d mo na marinig yung mga mid freq at ibang details ng tugtog.
'Marumi' - sound is not pleasing to the ears. parang iisa lang ang nilalabasan ng lahat ng frequency ng tugtog, parang halo halo lang sila. kulang sa filtering at may unecessary noises at kung ano ano pa.
'Tunog Trompa' - mala trompang tunog... kamukha nung nasa brgy outposts na ginagamit for public address...

I'm not sure if these are audiophile terms, but I hear these terms:

Malambot = emphasized low bass
Malamya = too little impact
Manipis = bright
Makapal = weighty
Talsik-laway = forward :D
Masaya = smiley tuned (emphasized lows and highs)
Nakakaantok = slow sounding
Hyper = fast sounding

We should also give due recognition to those individuals that greatly influence our decisions and ultimately affects our budgets and quality of our audio systems in good or bad ways : "SULSULTANTS" ( also present in other hobbies )

Is there a website that offer audio glossary that will help me write about what I hear? I sometimes read well written reviews that are impressive and authoritative. I see a lot dealing with technical terms. I am not after that. It's more the "grammar" of describing music.
