I believe in cables but when it comes to ethernet that where I draw the line, galvanic isolation on both ends and all. Would I get some specialty ethernet cables? If ever, it would be for the looks and nothing more. Just my opinion of course. Miss ya russ!

In my digital music source, particularly a music renderer which gets the audio digital files via Ethernet line and wifi, LAN signal filtering, LAN signal isolation, and LAN signal insulation is needed.

I am using the SOtM iSO-CAT6 and really does provide sound improvement when used in the Ethernet line just before entering your renderer. I am using a Belden CAT6 cable

JackD! Did not spot you at the hi-fi show this year. I have other things to think about before my imagination goes wild on Ethernet cables.

JoeyGS, what renderer are you using? Looking to simplofy and improve on my Mac Mini running Amarra with Audiophileo rig. He-he, OT, but it's my thread naman. :-)

I am using the SOTM SMS-100 (http://www.computeraudiophile.com/content/585-sotm-sms-100-mini-server-review/) which is now discontinued.

My recommendation now is the Auralic Aries Mini
