There's always good news with OLIVE. Here are the latest reviews & comments from different audio publications world wide.

Image

The Absolute Sound is one of the premier hi-fi publications in the US and had this to say about the O6HD: “The Olive O6HD provides truly outstanding sound!”. Check out the July/August issue for the full review.

Here is what the UK's leading audiophile magazine, Hi-Fi News, had to say about the Olive O6HD: "With its balanced audio output offering a full 3.6V from a usefully low 26ohm source impedance and a huge 114dB A-wtd S/N ratio to boot, the Olive O6HD invites direct comparison with the state-of-the-art high-end DACs from dCS and Bricasti Design. Performance is first rate!"

Another great review for the Olive O6HD! Blu-RayDefinition.com had this to say about the device: "The O6HD has all of the virtues that a good music server should possess: (1) Ease of set up and operation; (2) reliable storage and playback; (3) access to high resolution digital sources; (4) terrific sound.

Home Electronics Magazine from Switzerland had this to say about the Olive O6HD: "One of the best audio servers and network players does not come from Europe or Asia. With their Olive O6HD, the Americans show us how music should be experienced in the living room."

Australian hi-fi site, GadgetGuy.com, had the following to say about the Olive O6HD: "You pay a large stack of money for the Olive 06HD, but what you’d paying for is superior sound and sensible design and marked flexibility."

HiFi Digital from Germany writes in its March 2011 issue: "Olive's O3HD is the perfect all-rounder for a happy entry into the digital music space. The O3HD flawlessly rips CDs, plays HD Audio as well as Internet Radio, sound great and is free of any unnecessary features. Jackpot!” Price/Performance: 5 Stars, Excellent.

.....AND MORE TO COME......

Hi Gino, Thanks for asking.

The Olive HD Music Server has an application for iphone or ipad as remote control. The PC or laptop can transfer music files to Olive server through your home network.
You can access all your music files from your Olive Music Server in a different location with different track using the Olive O2HD

Once you have an Olive (regardless of model) it can support up to 15 rooms playing different tracks at the same time with O2HD multi-room (http://www.olive.us/products/multi-room-player.html)

No CDs, No Hassle

No Computer Required: The O3HD is its own digital music server, complete with a touch screen and a built in cd player/ripper, import music files from your computer. High end components ensure that you get pristine sound quality when you connect your O3HD to your home stereo

Check out the AVRev.com review of the Olive O6HD. The site had this to say about the audio quality: "Everything sounded amazing, with spacious soundstages, clean, extended highs, and solid, and articulate bass. I noted how consistent the 06HD’s performance was across all genres and sources."

When the O3HD gets ALAC compatible and has a digital out, that will be an interesting option, specially if the price stays the same. . . ;)

The digital out is available with O4 & O6. For the time being, No plans yet for the O3 to have a digital out. But they were informed of the suggestion.
