Hi JackD201,

I just saw your post. I am in between trips and will be leaving in a few minutes. I will post some synergistic combination that I have experienced when I return next month.

This pair I’ve heard on more than one occasion, and every time I do they mesmerize. They are quite detailed and very full of OOOMPH! The pair sounds open and very powerful. Music seems to just flow unrestricted and without harshness of any sort.

I love listening to this pair connected to the Aurum Cantus V7F.

MF X-Pre and MF XA-50

audible illussion 3a and jolida mucical envoy power amp,natural sounding with authority.

I love my own but these I heard and really fits the bill:

1.) CTC Blowtorch driving a Nuforce amp or any other amp for that matter.

2.) Alaap preamp driving SET (45,2A3, 300B) amps with BIB horns or Edgar horns. Surprisingly, 845 base amps does not sound as good.

From my experience,

1.) ARC LS 16 and Odyssey Audio Monos or Threshold Stasis S500
2.) Supratek Chenin and ICE H2O amp, JE Labs 2A3/45, ATI 6012, Tono 300B, dynaco ST70.

For the longest time, I was looking for a pre (w/in the same price range) that would surpass the ARC's performance. I found it in the Modwright.

Lamm LL2 Deluxe preamp with BAT VK-150 monoblocks

the combination combines BAT's famous image float with Lamm's grounded solidity.

Note: effect is less noticable when UPS driven Saksak mo sa Pader bro!

Exemplar XP2 linestage and LSA Statement used as a poweramp. I heard this at FIM's room at CES. The preamp and amp are Winston Ma's personal units used to drive his Avalon Isis loudspeakers. Very liquid presentation with extremely low coloration. The only obvious colorations are trippy prismatic effects on decays. I attribute this to the Preamp. I'm familiar with the AMp and by itself it lacks this. The XP2 is on my wishlist and a candidate for preamp rolling. It is in the same league as my Lamm L2 Reference.

Conrad Johnson Premier 14 linestage and Lamm M1.1 amps

So far, the Spectral DMC 30SS line stage, the Klyne SK 7 preamp and the Berkeley Alpha dac have been synergistic with the Lamm Reference M1.2 mono block amps.
