HT's Jadis JPS matched with his Halcro stereo amp (I hope Jadis can tell me which model was used)
PL's CJ ART II preamp breathed life into his Halcro monos.
BAT VK-31SE into Levinson No.332 I did this for a while ok din the BAT added some image float at the expense of the No.380's dynamics.

the CJs seem to have that natural synergy producing a lush yet detailed enough presentation. not the fastest among other combos though but perfect for most of my music - light classical, jazz, vocals, samba
the pv11 with mc is a great pair driving the VR4 jrs...good dynamics without the ss nasties. great for jazz too.

working on adding an x10d... to add some more tube flavor... but seems no difference yet
arc ls1 - luxman m1500. ok lang. medyo matinis. lack the punch of the above combi. very narrow sweet spot.

Posted: Tue Jun 10, 2008 2:17 pm12au7 Tono Preamp + 2a3 SET Amp. I'm using a Telekunken 12au7 for my pre-amp, while I went all RCA for the 2a3 SET. - Simplicity at it's best.

i use a similar 12au7 tono preamp (rca cleartops) with a vintage pioneer classA SS amp for my wife's karaoke system driving a pair of ls35a/ab1s. she swears her voice never sounded any better (she said the samething using the marantz

its a modified Decware with all silver wires using a single 6n1p. unity gain. a truly wonderful combo i must say, but i needed more power from MR's amp..
Posted: Tue Jun 10, 2008 2:24 pmOn the lower spectrum, the ProJect Tube Amp Mk2 (2 12aX7s) matches very well with the TRI KT88 or TRI EL34 tube integrated amps. Mataba ang tunog without loss of detail. Tunog tube as they say. Cartridge used: ZYX R100 and Grado Red.
