looking for camera gear inserts / sleeves

Postby troporobo » Tue Aug 18, 2015 9:54 am

I have a trip coming up in a fairly rugged area via small plane so I need to travel very light, and can't take my normal camera bag in addition to other luggage. I'm looking for protective inserts or "sleeves" that I can use with a normal backpack. I have in mind something like separate padded or neoprene cylinders for a couple of lenses plus a sleeve of some sort for one m4/3 body, a speedlight, and some batteries. Anyone know where to look?

If just for protection you can use camera wraps. For the lenses, there are also pouches available. Check with Well's studio across paseo de magallanes or the camera stores inside glorietta and green belt.

Maybe send a PM to MC, he brings in light camera bags that is suited for travel

I don't know Well's so thanks for that tip. I've been to all the camera stores in the malls without luck.

I also use regular Pacsafe backpacks when I travel. I have several inserts made for my different size backpacks and Pelican cases from Alfred Albarracin.

Here's his facebook page and you can inquire from him for meet ups or direction to his place somewhere in Cubao.

Rudy Project has this daffle bags of different sizes which can serve as waterpoof bags for your gadgets.

It's similar to this: Image

But Rudy Project has smaller sizes in their stores.

This is what Alfred made for me.

That's my backpack and insert. The camera and lenses are his.

I also have something similar to this for my smaller backpack.
