Happy to share lang that my son finished 4th in the 10k category with time of 46min,57sec. And 1st for the 20 & below age bracket. :) Hopefully can join him in Condura 2014! :)

Wow!  I'd have to go into 200% of my max heart rate to finish in that time haha  Of course i'd be dead of a heart attack first. Blazing time for your son!

Not sure if the brand was Yankz but Riovanna in Bonifacio Global City does carry the same kind of laces i believe you''re looking for. The quick lace up just by yanking right?

Polar RCX3

Postby Gino » Fri Jun 28, 2013 10:20 am

I was gifted a Polar RCX3 Running watch with HR and Stride sensors. It's a good motivator. I am quite pleased with it.

I am running the endurance training program it provided me. First thing I notice is that I am not as fit as I thought. Running the program I find myself walking most of the time otherwise I exceed the recommended training zone. Slowly but surely. Let's see where this takes me.

Don't rush it or else you might end up injured. But keep at it. It's amazing what the human body can do if you train it! :)

Thanks for the advice. I've been into running for 3 years now. It is just my first time to use a device for it.

raffy wrote:Running can be highly addictive, as Russ points out, very easy to get injured as well. With the running boom over this last 24 months there are lots of races to and fun runs to be a part of.

A few pointers to avoid injury when starting:

1. get the right shoes
2. increase mileage only 10% per week
3. do not run every day, allow yourself to recover
4. if you really get the bug, get a coach, many out there. CHI running class worked for me

Wow! Chi Running! Heard a lot of great stuff about this. Hope you can share the contact details of the coach. Thanks, Sir.
