Recommended Hotels/Sites in Seoul, South Korea

Postby Superman » Tue Aug 26, 2014 10:08 am

Hi! Great day!

We have confirmed bookings for January and March for Seoul, South Korea. Planning just to take the Airport Train going to Seoul Station. Would like to ask those who have been to Korea:

1) Recommended Hotel (sub-US$100/night range) - Location should be within shopping/train/food/mall area

2) Recommended Place/s to visit - Apart from Lotte World, Everland, Nami Island, what are other notable places to go in Seoul?

3) Recommended Audio/Hi-Fi Stores in Korea

Thanks in advance! :emo:

Modern and vintage gears in one building. A must-visit

Enjoy!

I've only been to Seoul on business trips so don't know it very well. Two things stand out in memory though. The gardens around the Namdaemun Gate (the oldest in Korea) are famous for wedding photos and even in winter you see many couples having their "official"photos taken there, so a honeymoon shoot there would be appropriate. And the night life district of Insadong is perhaps the most interesting part of downtown Seoul with heaps of traditional restos, late night music cafes, and markets. It's also very close to the restored river of Cheongyecheon that runs through the central city, with lots of day and night activities. If you could find a hotel in the Insadong area it would feel much more like Korea than a boring business hotel and it would keep you busy with options for sure.
