still cant get the sound to come out from outside the side of the speakers, maybe its because they are too close to the side walls?
gk: maybe you are too close too the side walls. how about giving me your ddistances from speaker to rear wall, to listening chair, to side walls, and finally, it is my firm belief that you beloved tv set if causing quite a bit of interference to your sounf systems overall sound. you will will have to decide to push it back to get it out of the way because having it in between the speakers will really cause major distortion. please find a remedy for this cause i can only help you as much as you are willing to help yourself.

GK, if I may, I hope you dont mind.
Hi Arnold,
Expect strong frequency bumps at 86.19 Hz, due to boundary reinforments of your 4 meter wide dimensions.
Another bumb is expected at 98.51 Hz. If you plan on using tube traps/bass traps, concentrate on this frequency range to flatten your room response. However, some speakers, like the LS 3/5A, have the same frequency bumps in this region that you have in your room.
This bump actually gives a sense of more bass since our ears are more sensitive in this region than the lower bass region (20-50hz). An equalizer of sorts? Maybe, so just try to speaker placements in the 2 and 1 meter ranges in your room, since these are essentially multiples of the 86.19 bumb that you may have in your room.
Hope this helps
