I am not young either nor aspire the expertise of the pros in post processing of their photos but seeing photos like yours shared in this forum certainly inspires many, myself included.

Cheers and Happy Easter to you too Fer. :)

fermacarayomd wrote:actually the present technology of sensors installed on dSLRs are still far from what we expected... the dynamic range is still narrow... Fuji claim higher DR but at the expense of speed and memory file size...

i am still waiting for a foveon type sensor with higher pixel count than what sigma offers today... maybe less than 5 years from now... sana sooner than that...

digital images have unwanted noise or blotchy color spots on the dark areas or underexposed areas... when pushing some parameters there will even be unwanted banding kaya a bit hard to adjust for an old man like me

i use mildly the free download version of noiseware to reduce noise... if overdone parang plastic ang dating at nababawasan ng detail... very amateurish yung alam ko kasi... the pros does far far better on this aspect talaga...

happy Easter kapatid

ctlim wrote:any reviews on the sand quality on this pic? :)

the sand is white but not the finest I've seen (Destin, Florida) light and loose packed. My father-in-law told me that it is composed mostly of crushed corals. The White Beach is an islet 10 minutes boat ride off the main island of Camiguin. It looks nicer and cleaner than what the picture shows. One of the coolest places I've been to. No permanent building on the islet and most of it disappears during high tide - with waves from opposite direction crossing at some points. Water on one side is warmer than the other, very clear - you actually see lot's of fish swimming around. Our family was the first one to arrive (group of 20) and my wife loved it - we were alone in the island for about an hour or so. Later in the day, 3 groups came in, some souvenir vendors also came. There was also a fisherman who came in with a fresh catch - sold and cooked for another group right there, cool.

I would love to come back.

a couple more pictures in White Beach

I took the first picture and turned around to take the second picture - it must be around 150 - 200 yards long when this picture was taken.

my wife's idea of relaxing on the beach - kami lang ang tao. We spent a good part of our stay here - Mabua beach in Surigao del Norte

This photo was taken along the narrow road that we took, supposed to be an alternate route, going to Alaminos Pangasinan.

my father-in-law knows where to bring his daughter (na ayaw sa magulong lugar) . Malasag Resort - this place is cool too. Quiet day at the pool on top of the mountain, overlooking Cagayan de Oro.

Not really sure Mael, but that is already near Sual. From afar, it looks like those used in Nuclear Plants though!! :(
