the sand is white but not the finest I've seen (Destin, Florida) light and loose packed. My father-in-law told me that it is composed mostly of crushed corals. The White Beach is an islet 10 minutes boat ride off the main island of Camiguin. It looks nicer and cleaner than what the picture shows. One of the coolest places I've been to. No permanent building on the islet and most of it disappears during high tide - with waves from opposite direction crossing at some points. Water on one side is warmer than the other, very clear - you actually see lot's of fish swimming around. Our family was the first one to arrive (group of 20) and my wife loved it - we were alone in the island for about an hour or so. Later in the day, 3 groups came in, some souvenir vendors also came. There was also a fisherman who came in with a fresh catch - sold and cooked for another group right there, cool.
I would love to come back.
a couple more pictures in White Beach
I took the first picture and turned around to take the second picture - it must be around 150 - 200 yards long when this picture was taken.
