I browse through flickr on diafine/film combos and more often than not, it does not seem to agree with Tmax and Tri-x - the middle tones seem to get drowned out in blacks and whites. Middle tones seem just fine in your shots. Did you scan prints or negs?

Thanks Marty!
Scanned negs with basic PP (remove dust, focus and mild leveling) using a vintage Elements 2.0 that came with the Canon 8400 flatbed. I've been so happy with the APX100/Diafine combo that I bought 2 100ft. rolls from Freestyle before they went away for good....
I have no experience with T-Max, but have had drowned mid tones with Diafine/Tri-X shot in bright daylight like this. Wrong ISO maybe?
For indoor/low light the combo has been OK IME. But I had to experiment with various ISO settings until I was satisfied. I posted some Hi-Fi Show '09 pics at the Harana Forum. Most of the frames were shot with Tri-X and a few with HP5+, both souped in Diafine. IIRC, I used ISO1000 for Tri-X and the box recommended ISO800 for HP5+.
I've seen your pictures, you are gifted with a good eye, that's talent!
