Ruby-throated Hummingbird
She's found a home in my back yard. To be more specific, the Flaming Bush. I've maintained a hummingbird feeder regularly changing the fill which is nectar. I've also maintained a flower pot containing the Cigar plant & the Tiny Mice plant which the hummingbirds love.
My L'll Gal will soon migrate south. It's a miracle how one small bird, the size of a thumb, can travel about 1,000 miles in the fall & another 1,000 miles returning in late spring. I'll certainly miss my L'll Gal in the winter but I do wish her safe travels, Godspeed. I'll be looking forward to see her again in late spring next year.
