sir TUbeNewbie... please let me know if i need to delete as i do not have your permission to adjust & post your lovely picture here... advance apologies if i went too far ...btw, your picture is an excellent candidate for poster contest ... if i were a judge, i will want this on my top winning list 8)

sir Elmer, i am not an expert in B&W conversion... here is my amateurish try... desaturated--> add some grain (or noise)--> adjust contrast & brightness --> green filter 14%

smearing effect due to lost of so many pixels due to my lack of skill on resize technique

thanks Doc... I was wondering how it would look in B&W too.

I was surprised that my pictures came out well, I just used a small Sanyo digital video camera to take those.

hi sir Tube Newbie,
i did not suspect that such an image would have been captured by a videocam !! now that is where the line "its the man behind the camera" becomes glaringly true !! makes me feel envious of your special gift or talent in photography...

your composition is fantastic !! on your original image i can even see the tiny sparkling light... no stir kapatid but it is going to be a very beautiful poster if printed large & mounted maybe on a border-less frame...

kindest regards,
fer

salamat Doc, pinataba mo ang puso ko, may talent pala ako

I think the sparkle you saw was from light hitting the snowflakes, it was still snowing heavily when the pictures were taken. I also took this picture but did not like it because the poste ng bakod became too prominent.

hi sir Tube Newbie,

though we don't have snow here in P.I. my ultrashort experience with this situation was quite challenging when i was in d US... the intense white usually fool the camera metering for proper exposure... based on your winter pictures i think you have far better capability to meter properly... the house would have been too dark had i shot the same view...

kudos sir Tube Newbie !!

Nice shot Tube Newbie! Sarap ng "isnow", ang init kasi ngayon dito sa Pinas.

Here's my contribution for today. A "hip shot", because I refrained from taking a good look at the viewfinder, too worried that the Security guard standing nearby would stop me from taking pictures here.
