these are well taken/composed shots...boy, years before my audio days, i was hooked on photography...somehow, your shots reminded of those days...sagada, baguio, negros and then other places abroad...

been years too since i last visited baguio, and seeing your pictures brought back some pleasant memories...and maybe i should come visit the place againn...soon...

btw, what is the speed used for the water shots...wondering how the 2 shots would look like (especially the water) with a shutter speed of 1 sec...

Agree. Most of the members are into photography. I guess there's similarity or synergy in it.

But I would agree more on what V_D said. "audio is just an excuse, kainan talaga at kwentuhan ang gusto ng pinoydiophiles"

We were thinking the same thoughts about going slower on the baby waterfalls. Unfortunately, the best tripod I had at that time were both my elbows on a wet and cold steel park bench and my chilly forehead. :D

Balikan mo photography, VD! My cousin in law formed Cool Eye photo group there in Alabang. They meet every Saturday morning at the Narra Park weekend market.

And Dino is correct, that photo meet is just an excuse to get those wonderful Pancit Luglog and Bibingka there! :D

Great pics :D

Maybe you can post the other details of the picture such as:

1. ISO
2. Shutter speed
3. Aperture
4. White balance setting

So newbies like me can learn what factors lead to capturing such nice shots.

I presume you used your G2, right? Or have you bought a film scanner for your Nikon SLR? :D

Hi Francis,

No way! :o Your daughter's a Prodigy.... :) Talk about evoking certain emotions, those shots are strange and detached, yet familiar and comfortable... Especially the last one

Arnold,

Thoughts too preoccupied to smile???

I like the mailbox shot , the shadows in the background is like itching to yell something, and the way it projects and distorts the address (number and street) is just like saying "this is us but this not really us, there is more behind it". Very profound.

My congratulations to the father-daughter tandem.

If those are your daughter's fist attempts at photography, i believe that she could get very far in this hobby or profession should it turn out that way. B&W, Macro shots, the works, huh? Very artistic and expressive. Congratulations, I think your offspring has true talent... :!:

Arnold,

I'm just wondering if you earned those beads flashing your bumpers    I think our imagination would have been more satisfied if Miss Hooters was (were?) wearing them 8) 8) 8)

VD,

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/cooleyephotogroup is the Alabang-based photo group I mentioned previously. I'm sure you, your daughter, and your wife's cooking would be very welcome additions. :D

They meet next on September 2 at 6pm. PM me should you need the contact details of the organizers. A smaller group also meet informally every Saturday at the Alabang Weekend Market at Narra Park.

How'd you scan the photos?

That photo with the red retro pick up is on the same street where a buddy and I typically start our weekly mini-triathlons. Ilang beses ko nang kamuntik mabangga habang nagbibisikleta kasi di ko maalis yung clip sa pedal. :D

Ace,

Yes, I just used my ancient Powershot G2. I'll try to share the other settings when I get back to my home PC.

That's on Malvar, i think... Rtsy, are you from Alabang? Isn't there a bike group here on weekends? Would you know anything about that?

Rtsy, ang galling ng mga kuha mo tsong ! Nako, I think your next move is to put up Pinoytographers, right after founding Pinoydiophiles !

ArnoldC, ang galling naman ng anak mo! I can clearly see the two lovers kissing! It’s on the first shadow tree counting from the left side. Look closely at the trunk of the tree shadow. You will see the silhouette of the lady having her arms outstretched unto her lover’s shoulder and nape.
