Now the subject of this thread could not be more apt, for you are holding in your arms life, the universe, and everything.
Congratulations!

Tito,

It isn't surprising that lot of focus is on the baby right now. A far second priority is the father getting sufficient sleep. There is one thing though that from experience you really should pay a lot of attention to: post-partum.

So, here's a big shout of hurray for Mama Y (graduated na from Miss Y) and the wonderful world of motherhood!

As for the fathers, well, there's always the occassional trip to the record store to help us cope with all these!

You beat me to it, Ding.

Stay safe, East Coast Pinoydiophiles!

In case you are looking for a safe haven for your beloved gear, you have a volunteer here...sorry, not belittling the danger...just trying to lighten the mood.

Thanks for your concern, Ding and Russ, our apartment and my mother-in-law's are in Zone A (mandatory evacuation) but we're staying put.

What the gov't wants is for everyone in Zone A to move evacuation centers that essentially are school gymnasiums shared with thousands of other evacuees. Our apartment unit is relatively safe from flooding as we're on the 18th floor, so the danger is primarily broken windows. What I plan on doing today is to move the amps and speakers to the long wall, making this hurricane an excuse to change orientation :D

But then notice the baby stuff encroaching on my mancave? Gone is the massage/listening chair, plus the high seat, pretty soon this'll be a baby-cave. And speaking of whom, last weekend Pubby had a major life event. I'll let him share his thoughts ;)

I was baptized last Sunday!

With my godparents... uh-oh, I'm not liking this!

I'm a baby not a Polar Bear darnit!

Get this guy away from me, please!

That's it for now, back to work!

Stay safe, Tito. Hope your family will brave this through. My niece just moved to NYC (5th & some street) and my sister is worried. My wife's sisters are also in the area - Flushing and Grove, NJ and both are not planning to evacuate either. Btw, cute baby you and Mrs. Y got there. :)

This is my favorite! Keep this and show it to his first girlfriend.

For some reason, my eyes wandered and my tummy was stirred by that possibly magical liquid inside the turbo broiler. :D

Stay safe! If 18th floor becomes a problem, there are much bigger problems to deal with!

That man-cave can stay so provided Pubby becomes an audiophile ASAP!

The hurricane didn't do much damage at all, we were lucky. Lower Manhattan had some flooding but nothing serious and I think the city shall bounce back within a week. Last night, I ended up moving the stereo and switching back to the MSB M200s:

I think I'll keep it like this for a while... until the babycave wins again

Russ, that was salmon brining before it was BBQ'd :P

Pubby is one awesome boy Tito! He's got that "I know what you're thinking even before you do" look. When you come to Manila, Marge and I volunteer our baby sitting services!

Thanks, Jack, that's his favorite look-- "curious, yet unimpressed".

Don't think we won't take you and Marge up on it  Regards!
