albundy,

here are my guesses: the two buds on the left are shure earbuds. not sure about the models.

on the row with three buds, from the top: stock ipod buds, sony [don't know the model], and at the bottom is i believe a sennheiser mx400.

at the rightmost is a koss.

as for phones for your ipod, are you looking for headphones, or earbuds. for the earbuds, the best one i've heard is the shure e2c. can't say anything about the other shure models, as i haven't heard them. positioned correctly, the e2c sounds great. for an earbud the bass extension is good.

for headphones, i would suggest the px100.

Hey onedown. Looking for earbuds. I'd like to get the shure e2c's. But at 4k, they're a bit out of reach right now. All the expenses of xmas and all... Baka next year. Hehe. Kailangan ko lang ng pangtawid.

I saw a pair of sony nude ex earbuds in HK when I got my ipod. They were priced at P2k. Have you heard anything about those?

albundy,

sorry, but i'm not familiar with the sony earbud you mentioned. the only sony earbuds i've heard are those that came with their portable cd players.

i didn't quite understand what you meant by "pangtawid." are you trying to say that you need a temporary earbud for your non-working earbud that came with your ipod? if your answer is no, then postpone getting an earbud until your funds would allow you to get the e2c, which you said you want.

oh, one more thing. we're a bit off-topic here. nakakahiya kay aeroes. if you have more questions about earphones/headphones, ask them on this thread: headphones/headphone systems for dummies

i almost forgot, the sennheiser mx400 is said to be a good bargain. haven't heard it, though.
thanks.

Hi Aeroes,

How about a review/impressions on the Shure earbuds? Are they comfortable?

Thanks.

Louie

Welcome dude! :)

yes, aeroes might just be on shore now. i remember he mentioned that he'll be coming here.

louie, shure earbuds come with a set of attachments. they are supposed to adjust the fit of the earbud. i tried the e2c without using any attachment, and i didn't find them too comfortable. the sound is very good though, if positioned correctly.

Hey guys, Let's bring this back alive! :D

I just got this yesterday:

One of the most detailed/analytic sound I've heard! Probably second to my Sony SA1000. The sound is also comparative to Grado SR60 but less piercing, less ""thump" or impact also more detail and more "high" extension. Headfiers says it is very close to Etymotic ER4Ps! Well, the manufacturer said it is based on Etymotic technology, I don't know what ithat means but I think it's either they're using the same driver or they imitate the sound.

Pasensya na humaba ang bakasyon ko. Masarap talaga sa Pinas! Heheh!
