I'll find out tomorrow Ken after a mutual friend of ours upgrades my V2 with these:

Its the http://www.rock-grotto.co.uk/v2upgradekit.html upgrade for the V2. Anyone out there who wants to upgrade their V2's, I've got some excess parts. (Like those blue polyprops, I'm going to use only 1!)

Not as low profile as I want it to be but the sound is enjoyable.

How Much is Ultimate Ears?

Postby rtsyrtsy » Sun Aug 17, 2008 6:33 pm

According to Logitech, about US$34m.

http://www.gearlog.com/2008/08/logitech_buys_ultimate_ears_fo.php

A while back, Logitech also acquired Slim Devices for US$20m.

http://www.slimdevices.com/au_press_logitech.html

Logitch seems to want to play in any interface between us and our media--keyboard, mice, remote controls, and now earphones.

I hope its not the end of UE and hope that Logitech will improve the fit and affordability of UE. :(

What a headline mod! thanks for sharing.

Hi Gelvi,

Nice rig you have there especially the amp. How much did it cost to you the XM5 shipping to Philippines?

Thanks.

The cost was zilch. It was hand carried by a family friend during his visit to the Philippines.

I took some snaps of my portables last weekend and I thought I'd share 'em here...

If music is indeed food for our souls, then I guess this is my lunchbox (hehe)...
Image
Ferd's modded and pimped Mini^3 and Audio-Technica's ESW9 (these phones really have impeccable katana-like built, the Japs really know their stuff)

My "pimped-up" Millett Hybrid portable headamp :D ...
Image
Wrapping the headamp with 3M adhesives and covering the whole chassis with leatherette, I've managed to really minimize microresonance on the headamp (and they look really nice I must add. hehe).

My first IEMs, and my very last as well...
Image
These are supposed to be hard-to-find inner ear monitors, a pair of Victor-JVC FX500.

Can't find a decent headphone stand around, so I'm using my Schumi bust instead...
Image
I'm using a centimeter long Mundorf's gold/silver mini-mini ICs via turbodock (yep, a measly cm. hehe)

My favorite combo so far...
Image
Alessandro MSPro & Millett Hybrid :D

Hey man, thanks! Well, I actually still have my Sonus gear (sans my amps) but when I had to give my listening room to our eldest kid (who's been yearning to get a room of his own) I was left with our living room which I thought would be a nightmare to treat, so portables I went (sayang yung records ko. hehe.)
