Good PMP or MP3 player

Postby audio80's » Wed May 26, 2010 11:48 am

I've search the forums but it seems like there are a few topics about PMP's or MP3 player, i guess their considered lo-fi here?
anyways i've ued a few but at the moment at stuck with a Ramos RM970, i also have an Ainol 6000HD which is very good in Video (also has tv out) but sucks when it comes to Audio. I would have like to use the Iriver H320, great sound but the weight & the battery sucks coz it's storage uses an HD.

Any of you guys here use this type of portable player?

some of the players i'ved used :$

My Cowon Iaudio X5L still sounds fantastic after 5 years of use., but since it's heavy and uses a 30gb hd, might not be to your liking. The newer Cowon O2 might fit your bill. Had a couple of Irivers before, sq is ok though not at par with the Cowon. The only Iriver I have left is the T30, a 2gb flash based pmp and it sounds better than the newer generation Irivers. Try also the Toshiba gigabeat pmp's which I heard has a stellar sound. . . :)

@endrik35 thanks for your input, i can't remember if i did had a cowon before :^) lol

i'll look into that Toshiba you mentioned coz as of now HK market is flooded & i mean flooded with MP3's, PMP's, PVP's & other sorts of portable players coming from china & a few from korea & taiwan.

i used to have an ipod. sound quality? no doubt i prefer the zune.
havent compared zune with other available players. if this can be
ordered thru internet, i hope they will deliver or ship to the
philippines. i am using zune as my car audio digital player. i can
let you try my unit so you can personally judge if it suits your
preference. enjoy. :) here's a pic.

Used to have a Creative Zen Muvo2. Really good sound quality and the stock earphones that went with it was top notch too.
Good battery life.
Just that the user interface really sucked.
I think it still works but haven't touched it for two years...

^ i even can't imagine that a memory manufacturer would make a player that can compete with the likes of Sony, Cowon, Philips or Toshiba which really make those dedicated players. 8)

ArnoldC

My Sansa Clip has gone R.I.P. Wala nang screen. Naputol pa yung Clip. I'm quite tough on my Sansa Clip. I sweat on it over long workouts and bike rides in rain or in Dubai's intense sun.

Still sounds glorious with FLAC.

Before, the Fuze and the Clip were basically the same thing with just different memory technologies. Is this still the case?

If I take a Clip, this will be my 3rd straight one!
