my Cygnett iPod dock seem going the modifying route too... maybe wires or internal parts replacement ??... will need Ferds magic once again

I was thinking of getting this one from dealextreme though I don't like that it has built-in speakers (and baka di gumana remote for my rockboxed ipod)

we've been receiving plenty of inquiries (text/email/PM) about iPod docks since this thread started... many of our fellow audio hobbyists intend to connect their iPod(s) to their full size audio system... hence, the importance and practicality of having a dock especially ones with remote control capability... so we continue to look for possible source for these smallish but useful gadgets

some docks are inexpensive while others are a bit pricey... some can be sourced locally while others can be acquired abroad... wide variety of choices...

let us kindly continue sharing our findings and discoveries here so our friends may be guided and enjoy their iPod(s) as well

yes sir j-audio... that was what i spotted hours ago at VirraMall ... white colored iPod dock with black carton package... i wonder why they quoted me a higher price point indeed, i remember the store is a reseller of CCTV cams... i did not see the iPod dock kit (with AV cable)... maybe i missed that store...

btw, i inspected the Belkin iPod dock at DIGITAL WALKER shop VirraMall Greenhills... their iPod dock with rca out are sold out ... what was left was a unit with several usb output and 1 firewire (1394) output... i am not sure if it has mini-socket analog output ... priced at P3200.00 ??

i got an inexpensive iPod AV line out to rca cable for P350.00 at DataMax, unit#332 3/F GreenHills... another reseller/store has it at P320.00 after i haggle for best price

I wonder if there is a big difference in sound with those stock cheaper ipod docks with that of Denon's dock. Baka mamya kasi, the SQ of ferds' LOD might be better than those docks

i agree doc Bern... just like our experience with unmodified I-Nix which negatively affected SQ... Ferds modified our units to bring back SQ to our expected level... results after Ferds Magic were pleasing

i agree... however, the convenience offered by some iPod docks is a plus factor... thru a wireless remote control i can go "next" or "previous"... this is a welcome convenience especially when my iPod is connected to my full size audio system which is located more than 3 meters from my listening spot... we've seen (and learned) ways on how to do compromise (thru iPod dock modifications) so as to achieve and enjoy uncolored SQ

Haay choices choices I only want one for charging my ipod while listening. If ever I go to virra mall, i'll get the cheapest one para tapos na dilemma

I was also looking at what sendstation has to offer (firewire plus lineout). there is also a new product from nuforce (similar to sendstation ) but they havent started selling due to licensing delays
