Metal Spikes

Jonas, I had a friend with the same problem. Once he determined the ideal placement, he screwed 4 screws to cut through the carpet on to the flooring and rested the spikes on top of the screws. Of course, the big difference is he had wooden flooring beneath the carpet. maybe you can hammer 4 flathead concrete nails to rest the spikes on.

If you have already successfuly spiked the speakers to the floor, do you still need to have it sand-filled? I had it both for my speakers, though I have some suspicion about the redundancy of doing both. I hadn't compared the sounds before and after as I did both spiking and sand-filling at about the same time. The bass definitely improved in definition. I am just not sure which tweak made it so.
