The word on the SRs are spreading. Some excerpts from the most recent email from Albert VS:

John Atkinson of Stereophile is personally
going to review the VR-4SR speakers; after hearing them at the Home
Entertainment Show 2005 in Manhattan a couple of months ago, he requested a
pair. What's even better is that Wes Philips, who reviews the large
speakers, fell in love with the VR-9SE and has requested them for review in
Stereophile as well.

In the August 2005 Stereophile, here a quote:

"The VR-9SE was the most expensive ($60k/pair) Von Schweikert speaker demoed at HE2005. They all sounded great, my favorite being the $8k/pair VR-4SR, shown here.

I missed that review, Jack. It's good to know my ears are still tuned correctly. When I heard the LCRs as stereo speakers, I was very taken aback. At that point I wasn't sure if I was being subjective in thinking they sounded like floorstanders. I did use them in stereo configuration for close to two weeks while dante borrowed my 4jrs, and they were always a pleasant surprise when fired up (this straight out of the box). Maybe we should try em out with the Stingrays.

Juniors sold out, more on the way

Only one pair of Ebony SRs on the way. The twin of the SRs used at the show. So far many have expressed interest but no firm commitments yet. This may be the last SR available for the rest of the year as demand in the states is so great even before the reviews. (see AudioAsylum). First to reserve gets them.
