Von Schweikert Audio

Slated for this year are some new speakers and some updates

VR-35 Mk2 with option for satin finish as opposed to wrap around grill clothes. Includes updates to the crossover and internal wiring $8,000

VR-66 Slotted between the VR-5 Anniversary Mk2 and the VR-9, 66 will be a scaled down VR-100XS using the same all MG driver compliment $55,000

VR-111 6 tower system with four towers around 8 feet tall with VS' proprietary triple layer vibration canceling baffle up to 6" thick in some areas. All MG drivers from ribbon tweeters to subwoofers. Sub towers have 4 independent 1.5kW CIAudio Hypex amps each to enable acoustic shading techniques to be used. XO is housed in its own little tower with it's own Critical Mass Maxxum stand chockfull of Duelunds, V-Caps and Mundorfs. Price upon request. By special order only.

Unifield 2 Signature 3way standmount using MG drivers as well. tweeter and mids remain concentric $20,000

Unifield 3 Mk2 new tweeter, new internal wiring (Master-Built Signature), minor crossover component updates, new stands, same price :D $15,000

Lamm Industries

LP2.1 Deluxe Lamm's new phonostage derived from the flagship LP1 ($40,000) same tubes, essentially the same circuit. As Fremer puts it "A Lamm for the rest of us" $8,500

TechDAS

Airforce 2 Younger but not smaller brother of the AirForce 1. Vacuum hold down, air bearing, gel suspension, extreme isolation and speed stability. Costs a third of the AirForce 1 with all the features. Savings were attained by using a cast plinth as opposed to the three layer Al machined plinth of the AF1 and using a simpler gel based suspension. The silent compressor remains well, silent. Gotta not hear it to believe it. $33,000

D7i Supreme new DAC with new power supplies and vibration control. 24/192, DSD, DXD capable. Given its lineage it is no surprise that the words most often used to describe it is "sounds analog". Has a front USB input that allows you to take the datastream of your iOS device. Inputs include USB, SPDIF Coax and SPDIF toslink. One fixed output, one variable output, one SPDIF output AND built in Headphone amp. It pretty much does it all including D2D conversion (USB to SPDIF) $8,500

TD COI Moving Coil cartridge with a health .45mv output and low internal impedance. Body is a finite element analysis shaped Duralumin (Aluminum alloy molecularly damped with Magnesium and Manganese) with a DLC coating (Diamand like vapor deposited carbon coat). Delicate, musical but also very dynamic like all other components made by TechDAS. $8,000

Valvet

Full Function Soulshine Preamp coming this year is the two chassis 2RU pre. Same tube compliment as the Soulshine and Soulphono (12au7, 12bh7 and 12ax7, 12at7 respectively) 3 line level inputs and 3 MC inputs and 1 MM input. SUTs are pure silver toroids. options are 1:10 and 1:20. Overbuilt high storage power supply offering virtual battery silence. Price TBA

A4 New SS Class A monoblocks in the works. No details yet. More to come.

Light Harmonic

Da Vinci Dual DAC 32/384, DSD, DXD capable DAC. Already multi-awarded, the DUAL is actually two DACs in one chassis. PCM uses LH's non-oversampling ladder architecture and DSD is handled by a separate engine. Light Harmonic's no compromise DAC $30,000

Pulse and Pulse X LH Lab's desktop solution. X is the Balanced model. Options include an external linear power supply and a Bluetooth module. Prices TBA

Geek Ah the notorious Geek :D USB dongle DAC/headpnoe amp for use on the go. The Kickstarter campaign got a lot of attention. Price TBA

Endeavor Audio Engineering

E-1 and E-2 following the extremely high value butt kicker that is the E-3 are the MTM E-2 and bookshelf E-1. Both feature the same Vifa Ring Radiator tweeter and kevlar woofers. Voiced with a whole lot of clarity and punch. $1,500 and $3,000 introductory.

:o :o :o

Pare, I heard that this is a cost-no-object design, pushing Albert's knowledge in speaker designing and manufacturing to the max. And, I read too that system weighs nearly 5,000 pounds, and uses 44 custom built drivers by Excel Noway!! If a system of this magnitude arrive here, I do *not* wish to volunteer to help in transporting them into its palatial abode. :D But definitely, I'd like to listen to them, I can imagine the feeling is going to be a combination of reaching Mt Everest and Nirvana (not the rock band), and a human Mars Rover landing combined.

According to a post by Albert in another forum, they are at the final stretch for the 111. I wonder what these bad boys even look like. One thing for sure is that you'll need one really big truck and an army to set it up. Fortunately the full range and sub towers were designed to work on special casters. No need for spikes. At least when dialing them in, tulak tulak lang. One thing I really love with the 9s and 11s.

Funny. Growing up I was really into those card games with fighter jets and their specs. I believe they were called Trump Cards. One of my "alas" cards was the F-111 strike bomber because it could fly supersonic at both high altitudes over 50,000 ft or a hundred feet off the ground. The VR-111 promises to do anything from a singer songwriter and a guitar to a double philharmonic with the utmost ease. Lots of people think bigger is for louder when it is actually the tandem of greater scale while doing so with even greater ease. I'm excited for the guy that gets a pair. The 11s are already in the rarified pantheon of battleship speakers making many of the 6 footers look and sound puny and stressed, what more this?

Alas, unobtanium for me. What I am looking forward to (actually I have no.2 of the first 3 ever made  ) is the TD COI. When I heard it in Tokyo I snapped up one of TechDAS' own demo units AND the display unit. Clear, dynamic but also harmonically rich and natural. I knew cartridge bodies made a lot of difference. That's been my experience with the different Koetsus and carts like the 103 that a lot of people have fun with making bodies for but I think this along with Ortofon's separate but parallel efforts with the A90 and Anna take it to a new engineering/material science extreme.

Were you one of the backers who they took to CES '14 in Vegas?

Seriously, I have the AQ Dragonfly. Would love to try this out.

Good luck in '14!

Great! We will then have the Pulse, Pulse X and the Pulse by mid this year ...... hopefully.

The Geek Out had problems with production and they had to scrap the first 8,000 batch. No feedback yet on the new delivery date.

The Geek Out started shipping end of February2014.

Following is the latest test of the Geek Out in comparison with (looks very promising):
AudioQuest DragonFly noise floor: ~ -120 dB
iFi iDSD noise floor: ~ -125 dB
Meridian Explorer noise floor: ~ -130 dB
Geek Out noise floor: ~ -145 dB

Dealers will be the last to get their hands all things Geek Joey, albeit we are stocked with both Da Vinci models and fully stocked with Light Speed Cables. Exciting times for LH.

The Dual at the Lair finally burned in last weekend and it is indeed PHENOMENAL.
