You'll surely be invited bro! Trying to figure out the racking and cable runs now. 2nd Quarter pa daw yung LH Servers so that gives me lots of time for analog tweakery. :D

I've been in and out for the past three months and it's only this afternoon that I really got to re-tune the main system after I yanked so many components and cables for the show. Nakaraus din. Great solo marathon session kanina. Finally play and not work.

Thanks timber! While I am dyed in the wool when it comes to analog, alas when it comes to new releases and current artists one has no choice but to go digital. Having listened extensively to Hi-Rez PCM files thanks to fld, I'm seeing a good future. Only problem now is download speeds. It took me 13 hours to download a single 24/192 album!!!!!

[quote="JackD201"]Thanks Randy. We signed on last year but decided to make the announcement closer to the delivery date which will hopefully be around Valentines day. :) I'm looking forward to getting my hands on this beauty for both assembly and play. For years we've concentrated on back end components but our association with EERA had me and Keith make the decision to go end to end both in cutting edge file based digital and analog. It was our friend Gary Kho of Genesis that pushed us over the edge for this one. Much to our surprise, a few weeks after wiring the downpayment it was announced that Graham and TechDAS would be displaying with Lamm at CES 2013. Gee, what a coincidence!!!!!! :D :D :D

Let's sched your binding post replacement bro. Text-text. Service fee is one banig of....... :x

Ayus :) . Makapag-ipon na nga ng banig hehe

Talked to Albert (The Main Man) Von Schweikert this morning. The VR-25 two way floorstander prototype is complete and the Unifield 5 is 90% done. We've ordered one of each from the first production runs. We've been waiting for kick @ss small floorstanders for some time. Wish granted!

Just want to have your opinion sir Jack, how does the dsd format sound since your dac is capable of decoding them?

Hi Timber, the TechDAS D7 just arrived and the LH Dual will be another month. Unfortunately, I'm still abroad. Keith is supposed to put the TechDAS through it's paces while I'm away so I hope he can share his impressions at the soonest possible time of DSD in file form vs SACD (on a Disc), Hi-Rez and RBCD. :)

Thanks for the immediate reply Jack, enjoy your trip.
Hopefully the dsd format comes close to analogue as their sine waves indicate....
Cheers

Sorry bro. I wasn't able to pick it up over the weekend. That plus I waved off firing up my system last weekend. The first Holy Week I've not fired up my system since I moved in. :o

I'll try to pass by, or have it picked up this week. How's the vaca going?

Hi timber. Unfortunately, I don't have HD files on my computer. That plus I have yet to choose a program to use for those HD downloads. I'm a little apprehensive about doing that right now as I only have a MacBook Air and my hard drive space is tiny. I'm still weighing my options on what computer to use as a server. I could go the route of a MacMini, or even wait for the Light Harmonic server out soon. But at the moment, I think it's more prudent for me to wait and see.

As such, I am forced to listen to the TechDAS DAC using only red book cds. I guess we'll have to wait for Jack to get back before we can listen to them DSD files. ;)

Downloading some DSD files now. Will try them when I get back. I'll be playing them via PureMusic. It should be noted that the D7 does DSD via DoP meaning it is converted to PCM. The Light Harmonic Dual DAC which should be en route to Manila by the third week of the month will do DSD and DXD natively and do up to 32/384 PCM Natively as well.

From what Keith texted me, the D7 is quite the achiever even this early and without any fancy power cords or fancy 75ohm SPDIF cables. Hmmmmm. I can't wait to get my hands on it this weekend!

Jack, Jriver has a trial software for testing. It does native dsd output which I think is a better choice to hear what the dac is capable of. Jriver btw did recntly release one that will work for the mac.
