JM, sayang you missed the show last year where we had the valvet and UNI 1s. If you add a pair of Rhythmiks, I would say yes they are an upgrade for sure. Pati kami ni Keith nagulat Pero UNifield 3 pa rin. These sound like miniature VR-9s, tonally. Many rave reviews too (although ganoon din for the Uni 1s). I'm raising cash for something BIG for my main system so I'll be going back to LSA 1 Standards in the bedroom. I won't say what. I'm a bit superstitious. Baka maudlot eh.

The Valvets are gems bro. I'm using the Soulshine Pre and Soulshine Phono in my main system na. Goes to show it isn't all about price but rather execution. Go for the remote option though. The stepped attenuators are a bit dodgy in spots. Raf has a review of his Valvet L2 and A3.5 amps here at WS. Excellent reviews at Stereo Times and PFO as well.
