Great comments by Jon Valin on the Unifields as demoed in the Rocky Mountain Audio Fair, those little beasts swept Valin off his feet! :D I think the pair here in Manila is still waiting for a home or have they found one?

That was indeed vary nice of JV dafos :) At CES '08 he had good words to say about Dimfer's speakers too.

at this point, I would say the nice words on VR5 are well deserved. I am also curious about the Uni 3's because I am a fan of ribbon tweeters. I hope to listen to them one day.

Gentlemen, pardon my ignorance but what speaker brand does dimfer design and build? Btw Jonathan Valin's assessment of the Unifields tally with what I've heard of them, detailed, open and rich without sounding cold and analytical, with a soundstage size and bottom end that totally belie its dimensions. Fyi jack, it was valin's choice for value for money speakers and when its valin making the report, your talking of speakers at the very high end of the pricing strata.

Hi Dafos,

Dimfer aka Ding owns VR-5 Anniversary Editions (Same as Greg Weaver of PFO) :) I know what you mean about JV pare. I think he's the only one who can say a $15,000 speaker the size of the U3s are "value for money" and can get away with it :D :D :D

Well they were designed to give almost VR-9 level clarity and finesse which I can personally attest to but without the full throttle dynamics. The little guys really are wonderful though and for someone with a small room I still have to meet a pair of speakers that can do what they do.

See you soon! There's something you have to hear :inlove: PM Doc Lito ;)

The Unifield 3 was put on TAS' compiled editor's Best Sound of Show list as one of Chris Marten's entries.

JV says the 4 "attainable" models namely the Unifield 3, Joseph Audio Pulsar, Magico V2, Aerial 20T will be reviewed :D

Of all the models on the list only the 2-way Joseph was less expensive.

Bulilit strikes again! Imagine if VSA had better upstream components at CES? Hehehehe.

Well, well, well!!!!!

It seems the other mags have more to say about bulilit!

Positive Feedback's Dave and Carol Clark gives the Unifield 3 an Audio Oasis award. Stereotimes gives it best sound for the money (looks like Valin isn't alone :?: :) :) ). Dagogo's Rea says they're the best small speaker he's ever heard "including the illustrious Magicos".

For those that visited us at the Nov. Hi-Fi show. You heard bulilit first! :)
