MSM, I would have wanted to just add to the Bose 901 thread but since this tackles a different matter, pls. allow me to setup this thread.
My question is... what is (or was) the best amplifier to be used for the Bose 901 speakers ? Would those Carvers do the job? Are there any other better choice?
For me, the best stuff to drive the BOSE 901 are those huge old receivers. Match it with those classic top of the line Onkyo Integras, or even those Gold Marantzs, and you will look like the typical old rich of the 80s. Sabayan mo na rin ng Nakamichi Dragon, and Technics SL1200.
Anybody here who has this integrated amps mentioned and for sale in the P15K budget? Pls. PM me, I have a buyer who might be interested so he can improve the sound of his 901s used as a karaoke.
Anyone actually KNOW the sensitivity and impedance of a 901 series 1 - 6? I have an Onkyo Integra 919 I will gladly let go of for 15,000 pero 100wpc lang yun baka sumabog
Nope. sabi lang 10 to 450 watts. Pati nga sa instructions wala ang insertion of Bose EQ in the signal chain between preamp and power amp panay instructions for integrateds and receivers lang. Hehehe.
JackD201, pls PM me your mobile number. I will let the buyer (voice teacher of Nonoy Zuniga) transact with you directly (to avoid my usually high commission)
Russel, I just got a text from Nonoy that he takes umbrage of your remark. Perhaps you should edit it. Thanks Pare.
