MSM..........going..........Digital???????

Postby m_shoe_maker » Fri Jul 09, 2010 9:45 pm

Yeah, yeah, yeah :drunk:

Yeah, MSM who does not even own a CD player, and doesn't even have CDs may eventually go digital. :o :puke:

Yeah, laugh all you can, MSM may eventually eat his words.

Yeah, MSM thinking of getting an.......iPod

MSM is getting old (but not as old as IHJ :!: ), getting lazier (MSM has been lazy ever since :D ), and according to his wife, is getting deaf (MSM calls it selective hearing  ). Yes, it has been ages since MSM did some "critical listening". :?: So what the heck!

MSM does not know much (anything) about iPods! So, MSM just wants to ask some stuff about it. :^)

1. Are iPods allowed to be carried inside a passenger plane? Or does it have to be checked-in? :?:
2. Are iPods disposable? As in when it is defective and outside the warranty period already, is it better to buy a new one instead of having it repaired? :?: How long have you had your iPods? :?:
3. Regarding the battery, does this eventually deteriorate and have to be changed after a few years like some cel phones? :?:
4. More on the battery, is it like a cel phone wherein it is better to drain it first before charging away? Or is the battery different that it can be charged anytime, even if it has only been used for a few hours. Am I correct that every time you place the iPod on a dock, it automatically charges its battery? :?: What if the battery is still full of juice? :?:
5. What the freaking hell is iTunes??? :?: Does MSM have to buy music and stuff from iTunes to place in the iPod? Can MP3 files from Limewire (yeah! free music!) be placed in an iPod? :?:
6. Are the speakers docks' pins (input??) standard for all iPods i.e. Nano, Classic, and Touch? :?:
7. Where in Greenbelt or Glorietta is the best place (accredited by Apple and cheapest prices) to buy an iPod? :?:
8. What are basic do's and dont's in an ipod? :?:

Free plug: MSM is selling what's left of his Oldies and Classical LPs at minimum lots of 20 pcs. for P2,000. MSM still has a few hundreds left. ;) Yes, MSM is too lazy to list and grade them all. ]:) Nope, New Wave LPs are not for sale and will stay with MSM! :!:

1. Are iPods allowed to be carried inside a passenger plane? YES

Or does it have to be checked-in? :?: NO

2. Are iPods disposable? As in when it is defective and outside the warranty period already, is it better to buy a new one instead of having it repaired? :?: YES

How long have you had your iPods? :?: Oldest one still works.......6 or 7 years?

3. Regarding the battery, does this eventually deteriorate and have to be changed after a few years like some cel phones? :?: NO

4. More on the battery, is it like a cel phone wherein it is better to drain it first before charging away? NO

Or is the battery different that it can be charged anytime, even if it has only been used for a few hours. Am I correct that every time you place the iPod on a dock, it automatically charges its battery? :?: YES

What if the battery is still full of juice? :?: Even Better

5. What the freaking hell is iTunes??? :?: You don't want to know.

Does MSM have to buy music and stuff from iTunes to place in the iPod? NO

Can MP3 files from Limewire (yeah! free music!) be placed in an iPod? :?: YES

6. Are the speakers docks' pins (input??) standard for all iPods i.e. Nano, Classic, and Touch? :?: YES

7. Where in Greenbelt or Glorietta is the best place (accredited by Apple and cheapest prices) to buy an iPod? :?: EWAN KO.

8. What are basic do's and dont's in an ipod? :?:

1. Do not store naked pictures of self in there, kawawa naman ang makakita
2. Do not watch porn in the shower.iPods, like MSM and other gremlins, don't like water.
3. Throw or give away stock earplugs
4. Manage your library and playlists from the get go. You will thank yourself later.
5. Get 1000+ new wave songs from Keith
6. Give Jack all your Oldies and Classical LPs. He might be nice to you and trade you for "New Wave Black" 60G Classic with same 1000 songs plus 6000 more. 4000 of the songs will make you look at least a little hip. Baka maglevel up ka ng konti at hind lang hanggang NIVEA.
7. Do not get IHJ's DOM playlists

Kapuso says stop at 7.

Thanks, JackD! :) U D'Man!

I disagree! :!: Chicks will surely go gaga over MSM's iPod! 8)

JackD201 wrote:2. Do not watch porn in the shower.iPods, like MSM and other gremlins, don't like water.

How 'bout in a jacuzzi with naked chicks?

JackD201 wrote:3. Throw or give away stock earplugs

Can an iPod drive those bigger headphones such as Grado and stuff? :?: But most probably, MSM will just get a speaker dock.... :?:

JackD201 wrote:4. Manage your library and playlists from the get go. You will thank yourself later.

Why? :?: What would be the issues? :?:

JackD201 wrote:5. Get 1000+ new wave songs from Keith

Keith will be my best friend!

Not a bad proposition. :)

JackD201 wrote:7. Do not get IHJ's DOM playlists

I agree 100%! :) Anything IHJ is lame! :puke: :puke: :puke:

Some more questions:

Does the iPod's (Nano, Classic or Touch) screen easily get scratched? :( or does it have sapphire crystal screen such as some watches? :?:

A friend of mine said; one has to "pass through" iTunes to put music into an iPod??? Isn't it as simple as copy the MP3 file and paste it in the iPod via the cable?? :?: MSM hates paying for his music!

MSM = Computer Illiterate Big Time Banker

Can an iPod drive those bigger headphones such as grado? Yes but if you are critical listening big time banker use headphone amp.

4. Manage your library and playlists from the get go. You will thank yourself later.

Why? Because you will bump your car while trying to look for the song you want to hear.

Does the iPod's (Nano, Classic or Touch) screen easily get scratched? or does it have sapphire crystal screen such as some watches?

It scratches. So what? Your TT is furry.

A friend of mine said; one has to "pass through" iTunes to put music into an iPod??? Isn't it as simple as copy the MP3 file and paste it in the iPod via the cable??

That is why you are Computer Illiterate Big Time Banker.

Give me your black pizza pies and get my black scratched up killer chocolate bar. Stop stalling.

Black Chocolate iPod has $7,000 worth of music. Make me kulit some more and I will ask for your ARGO as part of the trade. :D

Does MSM not have a 10 year old nephew or niece to teach him about iTunes? If not, borrow the scholar of IHJ that is configuring his iPOD because he is Computer Illiterate DOM.

As someone who uses his iPod in his vintage office setup, let add my 2 centavos worth:

1. Are iPods allowed to be carried inside a passenger plane? Or does it have to be checked-in? :?:

- Yes. You can check it in, but that would defeat the purpose of using it to while the time away.

2. Are iPods disposable? As in when it is defective and outside the warranty period already, is it better to buy a new one instead of having it repaired? :?: How long have you had your iPods? :?:

Unfortunately yes. But I have never had an iPod die on me yet. I've had an iPod Video, Nano, and my current 64GB iPod Touch.

3. Regarding the battery, does this eventually deteriorate and have to be changed after a few years like some cel phones? :?:

Yes. But service centers like Digital Hub in Greenhills, Ynzal in the scout area and the Powermac branches can replace these.

Ipod's battery is lithium, so technically you can charge it regardless of the state of charge.

5. What the freaking hell is iTunes??? :?: Does MSM have to buy music and stuff from iTunes to place in the iPod? Can MP3 files from Limewire (yeah! free music!) be placed in an iPod? :?:

iTunes is the program that you need to sync with your iPod so you can transfer music and videos. It's a free download, if you have a PC and it's included already in a Mac. You can setup a US iTunes account so you can download lots of stuff (music, apps, videos). The music and videos in iTunes are 256kbps, which is pretty good quality already if you're just listening to an iPod.

6. Are the speakers docks' pins (input??) standard for all iPods i.e. Nano, Classic, and Touch? :?:

Yes, but you need to get newer accessories so they will be compatible with the newer iPods. Btw, if want the best audio quality, connect the iPod using the dock connector to your stereo or headphone amp. Cheap but good quality dock connectors can be had from JojoD in PinoyDVD - terminated via 3.5mm socket or RCA.

7. Where in Greenbelt or Glorietta is the best place (accredited by Apple and cheapest prices) to buy an iPod? :?:

Best place to get is Digital Walker. Or overseas. Apple has a global warranty, so it does not matter where you buy it.

8. What are basic do's and dont's in an ipod? :?:

DO get the biggest capacity you can afford.
DO know that Apple updates the iPod every few months or so, so don't get mad if your iPod becomes obsolete.
DO get an iPod and use it's playlist function so you can drive safely.
DO get a nice pair of headphones for the iPod. I use a Grado SR60i.
DO get a casing for your iPod and screen protectors, so it will retain it's resale value when you hock it in Greenhills.
DON'T drop your iPod Touch.
DON'T get it wet.

i have been 'indoctrinated' by my teen son into the the world of ipod, itunes and limewire because he keeps using my laptop to download his music.

kids have more patience in getting and transferring music into their gadgets. but once you get the hang of it, msm will be struttin' with a pocket ipod. 8)

my son also convinced me get get a 'music express' type NOKIA phone which has a memory card, (new models come in 8 gigs or more), and it can act as an ipod kind of thing as well, if only you're after convenience. it works for me. i transferred some of my favorite CD tracks to itunes, and moved them to my nokia phone via usb to my laptop. then, i plug it to my car stereo. very convenient.
