Postby JoeyGS » Thu Dec 05, 2013 3:51 pm

For all of you guys who are serious into digital source, this Geek Pulse could be one of the best value high definition dac in the market which is made by one of the manufacturers of one of the best dac in town - Da Vinci Dac. They have trickled down Da Vinci Dac's technology into the Geek Pulse and made it affordable.

It is supporting the following format:
Native PCM Decoding - 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4, 192, 352.8, & 384 kHz / 16, 24, 32 bit
Native DSD Decoding - 2.822, 3.072, 5.644, 6.144 MHz / 1 bit

Here's the link showing the features of Geek Pulse and watch the video from Gavin explaining what Geek Pulse is:

http://igg.me/at/geekpulseaudio

I have backed them already and reserved a Geek Pulse. They are already giving a Lightspeed Jr. USB cable which is 2x as fast as the standard USB cable and this is the younger brother of the euro999.00 Lightspeed USB cable.

Hey Jack,

Shouldn't it be $339 inclusive of the international shipping? And of course, you may have to allow for the local taxes and duties

EEK! Mali ang Math ko. Pulse X is $700 msrp less 30%. I misread that $700 was 30% off from one thousand.

For Pulse, you are correct Joey. :)

Yup Jack.

The Geek Pulse X is the balanced version and is expected to be better than the unbalanced Geek Pulse.

Wow! they are now talking femtoseconds in clock technology. A "femto" clock is a super-duper-accurate clock. The term is short for femtosecond, which is one quadrillionth of a second. If used properly in a circuit design it can greatly reduce (or virtually eliminate) periodic errors in interpreting a digital signal (aka 'jitter').

Nerdilicious!

Go to this link - http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/geek-pulse-a-digital-audio-awesomifier-for-your-desktop/x/5232901

I think the perk available for unbalanced is the $299 Early Bird for Geek Pulse.

Please read on to appreciate what has transpired as it has reached and exceeded the $600k mark.

They now have another additional optional perk which is an ultra quiet Linear Power Supply which can be had for $399. But wait a while as I inquired regarding a Special price of $299 upon registering for membership in their forum Geek Force - details in the updates link - http://www.indiegogo.com/projects/geek-pulse-a-digital-audio-awesomifier-for-your-desktop/x/5232901?c=activity. I inquired if you have to previously purchased a Linear Power Supply in oder to avail of this special price for a second unit.

Also incoming is the request for an upgrade of the clocks for around $100 using the femto clock.

Hope the above helps

Joey,

Hopefully next November you'll be able to meet Gavin :) Either he or Henry are supposed to be around for our formal launch of the Da Vinci Dual. We'll be displaying the LH Labs products as well.

The model designations, upgrades/options and dollar signs in the indiegogo website made my head ache. But I gathered that after the femto clock upgrade, LPS power supply, Lightspeed Jr. usb cable and added shipping costs, the $299 Geek Pulse becomes $946? I wonder if it's still really a bargain at this point.
