Congrats Sonny! Since no one chimed to your request ..... please give us your impressions on the sonic impact to your system. That would need some break-in.... and by January when we schedule the Quiapo EB, maybe we can have a listen.

Salamat Joey, I don't really think I am qualified to give an impression. Though what is apparent is the separation of the instrument is already clear.
Break in period of 200 to 300 hours at this time......... I expect it to get even better.

This Dac is in my wish list, paired with the W4S music server connected via I2S.

Congrats on your new DAC Sonny. I've read nothing but very positive reviews on Wyred4Sound gears.

salamat Cal. Happy to report that after 24 hours the sound just keep improving. No sign of sibilance as some has reported abroad.

Been reading about those and it seems I'm in for more pain. Both technically and financially, woe is me.... But I love a challenge.
Been thinking about my next step and from here I'm looking at three options in no particular order.
1. Server
2. Off ramp 5 or another type of similar device.
3. Amplifier upgrade/update

No.2 can be held off for christmas 2014 since it cost as much as the dac2. The server.... Well my toshiba laptop is doing a decent duty of it but I know the benefits of the upgrade, and I actually want to go headless for a cleaner rack. The amplification update/upgrade is really what I think I can move towards and afford  moving from 75 watts to 150 watts could pose subtle improvements which can give way for the next ones.... The key word there is afford.... Dang I'm broke :?:
