MUSE TDA1543x4 DAC

I just tried the muse with other headphones and just like in anything, synergy/matching is very important. With a closed Sennheiser hd280pro for example, I would rather listen to my laptops headphone jack hooked up directly to my O2 amp than coming from toslink to the muse then to the amp because the sound becomes a little too bloated. It was a perfect match with the beyer dt250-250 though.

muse mini nos dac user also...has anyone tried upgrading the parts of the muse nos dac?

I've tried using a muse with another ac adapter and the sound became darker and more bloated. The adapter I used was bigger with a higher milliampere rating.

Oh, I just remembered this thread. I wouldn't buy this dac again because it died on me pretty fast. One chip inside died right away. If someone wants to play with mine and has something inexpensive and interesting to trade for it, just let me know.
