Heart CD5000 vs. CD6000 Curiosity

The CD5000 not only retains a headphone jack it actually powers its headphone jack from the 6922 tube output stage.

The more expensive CD6000 takes out the headphone circuit entirely with the designer claiming that it degrades the sound.

Does this mean that taking out the headphone jacks on the CD5000 would make it sound better?

Why do you think it's OK to keep the headphone jack on the CD5000 but not on the CD6000?
