JAMO R 909

Reading some of the posts in this forum, I understand there is a certain 'purity' in the design of OB speakers. Now I am wondering if you'd consider the Jamo R 909 speakers as OB.

I also sometimes listen to a pair of Lowther DX3s mounted on Oris 200 Horns without the felt back (no rear cover). Does that count as OB?

The Jamos certainly are. I'm not a purist though. Some equate OB with a single driver, preferably alnico based, and maybe a tweeter. I don't. If it is an open baffle then it's OB. Sounds logical to me.

On the Lowthers......don't think so. Sounds like a dipole horn from your description.

Merry Christmas :D
