Haydn

Deceptively small in size, but not in sound, HAYDN is proof positive
great things can come in small packages! Just as in the more expensive
Vienna Acoustic models, Haydn delivers a rich foundation of bass, a
smooth and accurate midrange and open, extended high frequency response
all at a most affordable price. Combining a proprietary XPP technology
transparent-cone woofer, a highly accurate 1" silk dome tweeter and a
costly crossover network, HAYDN is truly capable of portraying the rich
harmonic structure and tonal color reveled on your finest stereo recordings
and film soundtracks. Finally, furniture-grade cabinetry is employed that
is simply unmatched at this price point. (This description was taken from
the SumikoAudio website: http://www.sumikoaudio.net/va/prod_haydn.htm.)

SRP: P63,000 Haydn Beech/Black finish
P69,000 Santos Rosewood finish
P82,000 Signature, Santos Rosewood only

Bach

BACH’S trim and architectural appearance will grace the interior of your
listening space with a remarkable fidelity, substance and clarity. Its sound
staging abilities are simply amazing, endowing the sound projected with an
exceptionally vivid rendering of width depth and height. Ideal in stereo music
or multi-channel film sound systems, BACH delivers true high fidelity and
finesse even when used with more modest electronics. Special design consideration
was given to enhancing the speaker’s transient response capabilities because he
"attack" or "blurring" of musical notes is a phenomenon that can cause great
uneasiness and fatigue for the listener. Scientific research into cumulative
spectral decay has resulted in improved speaker driver designs that essentially
eliminate the audible "slurring" of sound, resulting in open, detailed sound
virtually free of audible distortions. A special triple-coated paper cone woofer
is blended with the 1" silk-dome tweeter by a sophisticated, component-matched,
crossover network. These precision components working together result in audio
performance usually associated with components at twice the price. (This description
was taken from the SumikoAudio website: http://www.sumikoaudio.net/va/prod_bach.htm.)

Mozart

MOZART artfully combines power with grace and form with function. Architecturally
proportioned, MOZART presents a compact silhouette of unsurpassed beauty and purpose.
The narrow front panel conceals an enclosure of substantial volume ensuring deep,
authoritative bass response. Additionally the narrow baffle board reduces any early
reflections and high frequency edge diffraction, resulting in superb openness and
imaging. The 1” silk-dome tweeter exhibits sweetness Perhaps MOZART’S most endearing
quality is its midrange clarity. Rivaling speakers twice the price, MOZART uses
lightweight, transparent XPP cones that excel in detailed musical reproduction with
uncanny speed and delicacy. Additionally, by employing dissimilarly sized enclosures
for each of the two bass drivers, the ultra-low bass frequencies are controlled so
as to not affect the delicacy of midrange reproduction. Consequently, outstanding
bass response and extension is achieved with the warmth and weight usually associated
with far more expensive speakers. (This description was taken from
the SumikoAudio website: http://www.sumikoaudio.net/va/prod_mozart.htm.)

P173,000 Santos Rosewood finish

Beethoven Grand

Power, grace, mass and substance; all available in a speaker of relatively compact
proportions. Housed within a massively overbuilt enclosure are speaker drive units
built to the most exacting tolerance and standards. Twin midrange XPP cone drive
units work in tandem to realize an exceptionally smooth and effortless presentation
of the critical mid-band region. The extra cone area created by using two drivers
allows for the highest dynamic levels and lowest distortion possible. A hand-coated,
silk-dome tweeter handles the highest frequency ranges with detail and smoothness
revealing the ìairî around musical instruments. Dual XPP ìSpider-Coneî woofers created
specifically for BEETHOVEN creates a foundation of taut, fast low bass that is truly
best in its class. (This description was taken from
the SumikoAudio website: http://www.sumikoaudio.net/va/prod_strauss.htm.)

The Reference Series

Strauss

STRAUSS employs advanced speaker driver technology in a most special way. Designed
for use in reference-quality music and film sound systems, STRAUSS delivers a new
level of audio performance and musicality in its price class. STRAUSS is capable of
astonishing dynamic range, clarity and extended low frequency response that easily
provides the most lifelike music and film sound reproduction you’ve ever heard. The
ingeniously designed silk-dome tweeter employs three Neodymium magnets; each center
drilled to create a damping chamber that eliminates dynamic compression, so open,
effortless and linear high frequency response is assured. The unique dual 7" midrange
drivers are configured so that the upper unit handles the complete mid-band, while
the lower driver blends in as the frequency decreases. This configuration produces
a seamless transition between mid-bass octaves and effortless low frequency dynamics.
The 10" woofer subsequently functions a reproducer of only ultra-low frequencies.
Crossover component parts and circuit board layout is among the most sophisticated in
the industry, ensuring a highly detailed musical presentation today and for years to
come. System sensitivity is an extraordinary 91dB allowing exceptionally performance
even with amplifiers of modest power output. In fact, STRAUSS’S recommended amplifier
input power range is a versatile 50-400 watts, making it most compatible in elaborate
home theater systems in medium to large rooms.

SRP: P378,000 Beech finish, P415,000 Rosewood finish
