Kamusta ka ser? Long time! Have a possible project for you. Acquired a mint vintage speaker from abroad, arriving in 3 weeks pa. I've read in a few other forums that updating / upgrading the crossovercaps is a definite improvement, especially with these models.

I got the 2.2uf Mundorf silver/oil installed in both my ecc88 and ecc82/ecc81 aikido preamps (custom built by Jojo Dijamco) and the results are amazing! Deep, deep soundstage, sparkling and very clean highs, s-m-o-o-t-h mids and bigger, cleaner bass. And that's prior to breaking-in! I expect the final sound to surpass my initial assessment after 250 hours (tried listening at 200 hours: the details are already there but the bass is not yet full). BTW I'm currently using my modded Cayin cd50 player (Mundorf supremes, BB OPA2111 w/ bypass caps, ultra fast rectifiers, Amperex ecc82), B&K EX442power amp and modded LSA1. Patience. patience, patience.
