thanks jadis for posting the pics and writing about the guy's collection. LPs pa lang, tapos na ang boxing...

My pleasure, V_D. In truth, I had been wanting to post his system here 2 years ago JUST BECAUSE of his LP collection. Audio gears come and go, but these kinds of LPs can hardly be replaced and are bloody hard to find in the first place. Our man is very very reclusive, and he had always politely turned down my offer. But I never gave up hope, and my main goal was really just to shoot the LPs, and with the remaining time left and upon his personal supervision, I was able to sneak in some 'hardware' shots.

Parang I don't hear him utter the word Kharma na anymore. Ang candidates sa kanya ay Wilson Alexandria, VR-11 or 9, or MBL! :)

jay,

it's really nice enough just to sit for a while and VIEW the LPs on
the wall.....pag hindi ako nagbenta ng kahit isa ng LP collection ko, i think
i would not even have amassed one fourth of THE WALL.

Philip, thanks for sharing with us this super system, not to mention the priceless vinyl collection. I have heard about this audiophile's super gears and lp collection but now that I've seen it...   It must be something else to be IN THAT ROOM and run your fingers thru the collection...not to mention the super ttable with Tri-planar arm!

When I grow up...I doubt I will ever reach this level of audio heaven...   Buti na lang someone like him allows us a glimpse thru the pearly gates :D .

jon,

when i first visited him in his old house and he had a small listening room there, he would ask me what i want to listen to and then leave the room and come back with a bunch of lps to play for me. when he moved to this present house, i was shocked to see that wall of records filled up to the rafters, so to speak. that means, in that old house of his, all these lps were kept in another room, hidden from view pala ( parang tip of the iceberg).

kailan pa tayo aabot dyan?? ako, hindi na yata ...

glad you enjoyed the pics, doc. kaya next time when you see each other on those father-daughter bonding days in the campus, be sure to
ask to be invited. i'm sure you will enjoy sitting in the couch and WATCHING the lps first, for about 30 minutes, before actually playing them.

THE FEICKERT UNIVERSAL PROTRACTOR

Image

Our man recently got this tool for his alignment chores, and upon looking at it, it's a very comprehensive yet simple protractor to use. One side for the Baerwald, and the other for the Lofgren method, take your pick.

MSM, Ito lalabas na ang TRUE ULTRA-hi-end cart collection.

We are not worthy!!!!!!!!!!! :lol2:

Jadis, a mere commando raid will n ot suffice for yor kumpare's record collection. We have to do the invasion of Normandy all over again  Whattaguy!

It is not often that one sees a system that can put the review systems of the world's top publications to shame. Here is such a system. Add a pair of 11s and that should bring even Seacliff to its knees. ;)

jack,

normandy-type invasion AND a veiled threat of using the nagasaki and hiroshima bomb... bibigay na yan.

if the man gets the 11s, we will certainly be close to kingdom come.
