When I heard about this another new PINOY creation last November, I ordered one (1) unit and it was just delivered to me three (3) days ago. I immediately auditioned it by installing match quad of SVETLANA 6550 power tubes. True to its name "Trodt Fire" and with my dedicated SONY SACD player, it delivered a superb sonic amplification which strikes right through the very heart and soul of your speaker system driving out the hidden talent in them.

Maganda ang craftmanship. In short, it's a Black Beauty.

Without hesitation, I recommended this another outstanding PINOY audio gear for a newbie tubie friend of mine.

KUDOS! ! ! Iba talaga ang PINOY !

Sorry guys. I will post additional pictures tomorrow for better view and some details. Medyo may text edit pa kasi. Actually, this unit is just a personal prototype project and i dont know if the maker (who im sure you know who) would be able to produce a commercial quantity.

I should be able to post the price in a short while upon his permission (of course im NOT acting as a dealer nor an agent who will profit from his works) and, in compliance with the protocols of Wiredstate, your request will answered in marketplace thread. The unit above posted has already been delivered to a client and was abused leizurely since friday.

thank you po.

For a friend, here are some pix of Trodt "Fire". I will refrain from posting any review on this equipment because listening pleasure is highly subjective and personal.

As per Mang Rod, the price per unit of Trodt "Fire" is P25,000.00 excluding power tubes which you have the option to use your existing spares or buy a good type of KT88, 6550, 6L6 or EL34.

You can call him for inquiry thru tel. no. 522-1696. Thanks.

@25K, why not, good and reasonable price....i suppose that the regulator circuit is for the screens of the 6550's right? wouldn't hurf if the supply for the peanut tubes are also regulated!

how about some shots of the undercahssis?

hello Joan. thanks. but pardon me if i cant answer your query fully cos im no tube technical guy. yes, the preamp are tube regulated too. depending on the type of power tubes you want, Mang Rod said they just differ on the biasing. I hope i am correct. Just doing this to help the humble guy showcase his works.

I am not a technical guy but most power amps that I have seen that has a quad of 6550 has 2 rectifier tubes or 1 large rectifier tube , this one has 1 would there be any consequences from this config ?

Interesting question Guy. As far as i can recall during my discussion with Mang Rod and since i owned an ST70II, there is no rectifier tubes installed on the Trodt "Fire". Otherwise, you will be limiting the performance that your power tubes can deliver as what happened to the legendary ST70 vis-vis ST70II. Although this can be an option that can be easily added, it is not practical since you will be facing with a lot of tube replacement and problem later on. All the rest of the "Fire" circuit is none of my vocabulary anymore. Thanks.

which means that this amp is solid-state rectified, the three unidentified tubes are used for regulation.

Correct Arnold, solid state rectified. The 3 unidentified tubes are used for regulation. At what stage of the circuite or schematic, im damn ignorant about it. I hope i am correct. How i wish mang Rod can answer directly your question but he has no access at home nor wellverse in internet.
