Are these the same as nanomites in G.I. Joe? In that case, they should be irish as discovered by Cobra and Destro. Heh heh heh. . . .

well, you're partly right, Sir Audiostar. what's cooking is something that will be able to bring life and flesh to 70s artists (or any musical artist for that matter).

cometothinksofit, isnt this like monitoring the nuclear program of Iran or North Korea? the pictures here represent covert photos of something BOMBASTIC (or should it be "BOOMBASTIG"?) that is afoot. then one day, there's gonna ba a spectacular explosion in the audio planet and then the audio superpowers will talk in hushed tones amongst themselves and say, "they've got THE BOMB"

Hep, hep hep, . . . .hold on a minute... Seems like my name is being alluded to in this so-called" covert mission! Wasn't me. . .I'm innocent...promise! My only sin is to give in to the allure of the 70's, in all it's grandeur as a decade and what have you, for everything that's 70. I need to consult my lawyers to defend me. . . . calling on my monoblock . . . ehek, slip of the mind.....twin attorneys pala. . . .Pattorney and AttoRene. Help! . . . . I have nothing to do with the power supplies. . .I mean the power struggle. . .watts going on... I mean, what's going on here! Speaker up. . .oooops, I mean, Speak up! My apologies senyors if I seem to be incoherent and confused. Just still in a state of shock. . .or you can say "Shock and Awe" from what I recently saw and heard. Must've been the effect of weeks of sleepless nights in anticipation and finally a glimpse of what I have been dreaming of caught me by surprise and my nerves are still not steady. Like a bomb just dropped on me. . . .Becha by golly wow talaga! :o

Jimbo, i strongly advise that you admit the mortal covert act of
perpetuating the production of the WMD (weapon of mass disillusion). :D :D
Confessing to own the first WMD in the country locally made at that is
privileged and mitigating. hence, it is a natural reaction on your part
to be confused for having heard and seen the beast the first time in
action. i am willing to be partner in crime amigo. :)

the termites will be shouting and dancing like egyptians, tunisians and
libyans, while drinking and snipping gallons of baygon. :D

i love the way you downplay it as "just (another) GM70 project", Atty   . i am not surprised this thread has piqued Tony's interest because like MR, he has the guts to discover obscure and esoteric tubes and apply them into audio usages. more courageous than those who believe that the preferred way is the path of less resistance compared to the road to Nirvana strewn with challenges.

those who liked the 845's will surely love this amp......except for the filament voltage, they are almost the same tube....i think the debate will will center on which of the copper plate, graphite pate, or the metal plates will give better sound......and i say it will still have to depend on the finished amp.....

looking at the power supply with those big, big caps, i'd say you are on the right track.........

i read somewhere that 1000v plate at 100mA is a good sopt, plate is a mere 83% of rating....
