highcurrent- Nice Garrard 6300 you have there!
What cartridge is mounted? I also have a 6300 for restoration. I can see that you have the stacker spindle for this changer. Does it work?

Thank you doc! Im planning to use my spare Audio Technica CN5625AL. Nice to know that you have also the same kind of turntable for restoration. Its all working and comes in all original condition except the black piano finish paint on the plinth.

The 6300 I have w/c is up for restoration does not have a plinth. It requires new interconnects, a powercord and a new cart. The mounted Shure cart is missing the cantilever.
I have the same AT cart lying somewhere. Do tell me how it works out. I noticed that the Shure cartridge is mounted at a slanted angle. This will change stylus rake angle(SRA).

Yes doc the interconnect is upgradable because it can be pulled out. I still have the original interconnect with me, is it good to use other brand of less expenssive interconnects, any suggestion. Im thinking of bringing this TT to plaza fair for possible greasing and tune up. thanks again.

Try what you have first as is. I don't remember how the interconnects are connected under the ttable. If you can convert the termination to female RCA plugs, you can now use whatever IC you have on hand or choose. It is possible, that corrosion has set-in on the original ICs hampering the sonics.

Alex- I've been wondering also how a wood body 103R sounds, as I haven't heard one yet. So far, only odaey/Rodney owns one. Indeed, Zetroce/Dong owns a beautiful and fresh Garrard Lab 80. He acquired it NOS w/ box.!
Mounted on joey's plinth, it is beautiful.
